  1. Yes, we supported Saddam. If you remember rightly that had something to do with something that happened in Tehran in 1979 that most countries would consider an act of war? Also, bad blood between Iran/Iraq was going on long before that. We can also take from your post that Iran is indeed pissed at us. Would you say Obama/Kerry is reaching out to him (an adult like gesture perhaps?) Now would you say Iran's response has been Adult? Is there anything in there response that makes you think they are going to change there ways (which also includes violating over 20 UN sanctions since they were implemented)? 2. Your absolute refusal to accept the outcomes of the investigations when it stares you right in the face is breathtaking.... fixed that for you As explained above, I know the outcomes of the investigations that are complete. Not all are complete though. Hillary is supposed to be testifying for the select committee in Oct. I can't wait. You should do your research on more than just MSNBC... Of course everything on the PROPAGANDA Wing of the WHITE PARTY is fair and balanced and only reports the real news. Yeah yeah we get it..... PRAVDA..Murica style So your saying Hillary is no longer testifying before the select committee? Source? Or is it a general counter accusation. "Faux News Lies! Hillary is innocent! End the war on women!" Along with the general reason people support Hillary: "Why do you support Hillary Clinton?" "She just gets me, and she is not a republican." Well thought out arguments from the well informed masses..... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 3. Has Carter forgotten the hostage crisis that happened under his watch already? I guess he is kind of getting old and senile. And lets not forget the proxy war we already fought in Iraq with Iran. I have a couple of friends that want their legs back. Or the supplying of weapons to Hamas to be rained down on civilian populations. And I'm pretty sure all of these above actions were in violations of some agreement. Like my ex-girlfriends keep telling me "It's not me, it's you." I know they are still pissed off about our relationship with their Shah back in the 1950's, but until they let go of their anger, moving forward is going to be difficult. 4. Your children get to die there in 20 years unless they are brought back into the human community... since you seem incapable of accepting them as such. While you are right, they need to be brought back to the human community, it's not us being unaccepting of them, it's them being unaccepting of us. Or was the the Ayatollah holding a gun to his own head and I just missed it? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 5. And in a show of solidarity and friendship, Khamenei just tweeted a picture of Obama with a gun to his head... http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/iran-khamenei-tweets-image-obama-gun-head-article-1.2304560 Sure am glad we just freed up $150 Billion for him. No way that will bite us in the ass.... Also did you hear the news on the side deals? Inspectors are not allowed on Military sites. The Iranians will provide soil samples. With Parchin Military Facility being one of the places that they are developing capabilities, what could go wrong? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 7. Your absolute refusal to accept the truth when it stares you right in the face is breathtaking.... It reminds me of George Stephanopoulos donating $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation and then reading Clinton Cash... The time line is correct. There are two reasons why she is not in Jail. 1. We know what went into the White house and what came out. Where and why the information was changed has been hidden. Either E-mails have been deleted or Memos have been redacted. Can't charge someone until you know exactly who's guilty. 2. The DOJ is corrupt. Even if/when they found out who did it, if it was Clinton, they still won't charge her. The e-mail scandal is a primary example. Two independent Inspector Generals have forwarded requests for criminal investigations and they have been ignored. So there you have it. The government you voted for. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  8. I agree, thanks for sharing to this thread. Bill Whittle does an excellent job detailing the lack of competence and character in our highest eschelon of government. Yes, Benghazi does matter to the surviving families and to American political history. Yes it does... and how about laying some of the blame on those who cut the State Departments security budgets for embassies but I guess you do not want to worry about a minor detail like that... nor do the tools wasting so much money on investigations... perhaps they should investigate their navels. With the timeline of events laid out as they were, Clinton should have either provided more security or pulled those guys out. To the guys on the ground, it was not secret as to what was happening there. If she didn't have the money, as you suggest, for the security, she should have pulled them out. To not do so was incompetent, and to cover it up the way she did with the obscure internet video was criminal. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 9. To bad you didn't watch the rest of the video. Looks like the investigation in coming along nicely. They have a pretty thorough timeline of events. Of course, just like with Clinton Cash and the E-mail scandal, no matter how corrupt Clinton is, the DOJ with never prosecute. She is above the law. 10. As I've said there is. After the crusades Christianity went through a reformation where we took a more humanist approach to religion. Life is a gift to be enjoyed. Muslims have not. Life is to be suffered through until you can earn a seat next to Allah with your 72 virgins. First, say terrorism is an Islamic problem. Call it what it is. Second, use our influence with the Saudi Royalty to get them to pressure the high clerics in Mecca (the most holy sunni site) to preach against Wahhabism (very strict and literal reading of the Koran) to bring about a reformation. This will cut off ISIS from their most holy site and put them at odds with their spiritual leaders. And if they do that and we further develop and support relationships with regional leaders, the idea would be to watch ISIS die without a war. But what do I know. I've only spent most of my adult life over here.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 11. Just found this video I thought summed up Benghazi pretty well. Can anyone spot any inaccuracies? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKsiDV1LuJA "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 12. Why yes to all of the above! I think the mullahs know there are not enough virgins in ten paradises for all the martyrs they would create with the use of just one nuclear weapon. It's funny what people think is impossible, even by the deranged. Did you ever have a Psyche 101 class??? Think of "in group- out group" dynamics... humans in the out group will tend to believe they have nothing to lose by doing outrageous acts to those who are "in-group" I think it better to help them join the global society.... instead of being the terrorist supporting pariahs we have forced them into by our actions since their sacking of the embassy. I think a better way to look at it is the Mullahs think of them selves as the in-group and western society as the out-group. The out-group keeps drawing their youth away and they can't have that so the out group must convert or die. And if the out-group chooses to die that is just awesome! That means the in-group get a chance to die in service to Allah guaranteeing them their 72 virgins! Western psychology does not really apply to these nut jobs. They are a special kind of fucked up all their own. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 13. True. I wish he wouldn't have said "Gosh I'm sorry" though. I wish he would have said something to the effect they we are all equals. That is the message. 14. Are they? Or is that just your perception? To be honest, I don't spend as much time in the U.S. as I would like to any more. I'm forced to travel a lot for my job. However, I do see more and more Black Conservatives popping up on youtube. 95% of the African American population use to support the democratic party, but now, last time I saw a pole, it was at about 90%. There are 2 ways to look at this. 1 is 90% of the African American community still supports Democrats. Or 2, Under Obama, conservative support in the African American Community has doubled. And I've been seeing more videos like these pop up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kry_VfFSh4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdTihf2_GGM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xryXpK042pQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnpWJGzAqpo Just my observations. 16. This happened about a week ago and I've been stewing on it. I really have a hard time with the fact that he had to apologize for his statement. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/07/18/politics/martin-omalley-all-lives-matter/index.html When I hear "All Lives Matter" I hear a message of unity. We are all equal. Lets join together no matter what your race, sex, sexual orientation, whatever. I strongly believe we are becoming more polarized and divided as a nation. The problem I'm having with the "Black Lives Matter" movement is that it seems to be fueling segregation. I'm not trying to take away from the difficulties of the past or the present, but at the same time, this movement does not appear to be going in the right direction. I don't think the slogan "Black lives Matter" still means what it was intended to in the beginning. I've said in the past on these forums that I don't think the plan of "In the name of equality, I want all the black people to move to the left side of the room and all the white people to move to the right side of the room." is really working. And I have to say, my belief in that statement is only getting stronger. Right now you have the African American community segregating them selves off, waiving the victim card, not wanting to do anything for themselves because they are conviced the government owes them something. So they are staying untrained, uneducated, and segregated off waiting for their next government hand out. Now when you have someone reach out to them and say: "All lives matter, come out and be one of us." the answer is: "No, Black lives matter, we'll stay over here." All I can really say is congratulations Democrats. After your failure to uphold Jim Crowe laws in the 60's I guess your dream of segregation has finally come true. Since you couldn't legally segregate them, you figured out that all you had to do was implement a couple of social justice programs and start chanting a few well thought out slogans and you figured out that they would segregate themselves. Now to be clear, I don't necessarily think all Democrats are still racist. I think some of them actually think they are helping the African American community. But the results do speak for themselves. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 17. Welcome to the land of the Second Amendment!!! First and foremost, it is an inanimate object. Don't be affaid of it, it won't jump up and git you, despite what some people might say. Always remember the 4 basic safety rules of gun handling: 1. Always assume the gun is loaded. 2. Never point the gun at something you are not willing to destroy. 3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. 4. Always know what your target is and the back-stop. Bullets don't alway stop at the target. Beyond that, I would suggest going to your local gun shop and asking where there are some supervised ranges at. A good shop will know these things along with which ones have NRA certified instructors that can go over the basics of your firearm with you. Also highly recommended (especially if you live in big city) have a way to secure it when not in use. The last thing you want is for it to get stolen. Be safe, but most of all have fun!!! 18. Thanks Amazon!!! I wish you would have put a warning in or something that it was a white supremacist site so I wouldn't have clicked on it from my work computer. If I get fired I'm gonna sue!!! 19. Nice attempt at goosemode... But since you obviously commented on post #8 without reading it, let me give you the highlights: In an effort to increase revenues in California, the fees have become so Draconian that if you are below a certain income line and have a run in with the law and written a ticket, your life will probably be flushed down the toilet. A $100 ticket gets an additional $500 worth of extra fees. If they are already living payday-to-payday and can't afford to pay it, they loose their drivers license, which often looses them their job and puts them permanently in poverty. We won't even get into the additional fees imposed if they are late. A $100 ticket can in the end cost several thousands of dollars, seized property, and a jail stay. This downward spiral is disproportionally hitting Minorities. But as you stated, you are all good with it as long as it balances the budged and does good in the lives you deem worthy. Now that the article has been explained to you, is this how you truly feel? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 21. Although I don't think Donald Trump can win, I'm not surprised to see that he is leading in all the polls now, including this one... He is speaking to the issues that people want to hear in a very un-PC way. I see his rise as purely a statement against the establishment. I don't think it will last though. In other news, I saw that 3 of the Republican candidates are now beating Hillary in the swing states. Even Bernie Sanders is beating her in a couple of states. What's happening to her coronation? 24. There is a difference between giving him access, and requiring he be armed at all times, which is what has been proposed here. Access to a gun. be it full time or part time, is access to a gun. If a person wants to kill himself, he doesn't need to be armed full time to do it. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 25. Thank you for being honest. Access to guns makes it easier for suicidal people, especially men, to commit suicide. To all the kneejerkers, I'm not saying soldiers shouldn't have guns, or all soldiers are suicidal. I'm simply pointing out that the suicide rate would likely go up if servicemembers were required to be armed at all times. It's not a value judgement, it is a statement of fact. If you're okay with that as the price for making recruiting centers "harder" targets, then at least be honest about it. I personally don't think arming all soldiers in garrison would solve anything, but would create a whole host of other problems. And on the flip side, this is America. If someone wants access to a gun, they can get that. And I also whole heartedly disagree that giving an American soldier who is sworn to protect the U.S. access to the tools to do it does not create "a whole host of other problems."
