  1. I suspect this is just angry talk, which I understand. This was a horrible crime. But just wondering, would you really support the United States government injecting this guy with chemicals and then cutting off body parts to make him suffer? Should this punishment be codified into law? I wasn't really serious. But I would like to see him subjected to Brittany spears songs at high volume for long periods of time. Now that's brutal. I might prefer dismemberment
  2. I have to agree with you 100%. The Delta Smelt are also getting all the water they need so their is obviously no problem. "Save the Delta Smelt, watch the rest of the state die!" 3. It's sad really, what i really wanted to know is how everyone felt about all the police being murdered by African Americans, and this is what gets focused on. I guess liberals feel that the murder of police is justified, as long as it's by an African American.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 4. Reports right now are that one suspect is in custody and one is still on the loose. Has a war between the African American youth and the police officially started? How do you think this will turn out for the youth? Think it will help the stereo types? "He's black? Obviously an upstanding member of the community...." That one of the Police Officers shot was African American probably has Al Sharpton's head spinning on what to do. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/report-2-mississippi-officers-fatally-shot-suspect-sought/ar-BBjvYBd "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 7. Ummm... Because she isn't inciting a riot? Under Federal Law this meets the definition of a riot. She provoked it. She knew she was provoking an incident where other people could be involved in any resulting violence. I see this as far different than the hypothetical you've suggested in that a crowd of other people she was organizing were being involved in her actions. OK, I'll comment. Inciting a riot would be telling people to commit acts of violence. Say for example Michael Brown's father telling everyone to burn this bitch down. Putting up an exhibit of something that people find offensive is not. Remember when Larry Flynt published pictures of a woman's vagina? People at the time thought it was inflammatory and incendiary. Did he deserve to be shot for it? There is a difference between inciting a riot and doing something that is in bad taste. I see a lot of people confusing the two, especially in the media. If anytime someone is offended by something and threatens violence and the government comes in and starts to arrest people, what happens to free speech? Does this mean that every time a liberal speaks I can threaten violence and have their speech shut down? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 8. To whom? First, I'll answer that question: To me, and to my wife, and to our children. All of our recent ancestors immigrated to America from Europe in the 19th or early 20th Centuries, and those immigrant-ancestors and almost all of their descendants have had lives filled with rights, liberties and opportunities, especially compared to what might have been had they not immigrated. But to the descendants of the Native Americans living in the 18th & 19th Centuries, it is a symbol of the conquest and genocide of their ancestors. Prior to the Civil War, it was one of the symbols of the mass kidnapping, genocide and enslavement of Africans. To the victims of banana republics' repression and exploitation of their own citizens by brutal dictators installed and propped up by American military-commercial imperialism, it was the symbol of that. The Big Picture: not something that lends itself to catchy patriotic slogans. Way to answer your own question. Yes, we may not have started out so great, but we keep getting better. The millions who have immigrated through Ellis Island and others who have came here legally very much love the American Flag. So the big question is why are you so scared of Americans having a symbol to unify behind? Does a unified country scare your liberal senses? And if not the American Flag, what would you suggest we get behind to unify us? The hatred of not being dependent on government? Hatred of those who will not bow down to our government overlords? 9. I hate to break it to you but the reason that they had the flag removed was because: Where did they get that idea? The American Flag used to be a symbol of inclusiveness and freedom. I remember a time when I saw the flag flying proudly in a place with the flags of all the other countries represented by that company flying proudly underneath them. The message was "We came from many different backgrounds, but we have all come together here in America to make this a better place." In other countries (Iraq and Syria just to name two) instead of trying to unite people under their country's flag, they try to unite people by creating a common enemy. Of course, dividing people and pitting them against the others is a common tactic of the Saul Alinski left now a days. Being American is bad. You have to be Black, White, Hispanic, Arabic, Gay, or whatever. But whatever you do, don't come together as a nation... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 10. I don't make military strategy. I am not saying anything except that the GOP senators who made the statement in the OP** which is demonstrably UNTRUE are either suffering extreme ODS or selective amnesia. ** "Never in our memory can we recall an instance in which our military has knowingly briefed our own war plans to our enemies," Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in a letter to President Obama. Way to concentrate on this and not the part that is going to get a lot of American's killed... ...How predictably.... liberal... of you ... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 11. Except he has. The Mother Jones link has an embedded video of him saying it. I don't know why, from his perspective, he wouldn't just say "I'm sorry, I misspoke"? Yes, the Mother Jones web site claims this, but if you watch the embedded video, you get more of the impression that he was reporting on the Falklands from Argentina. It's "creative reporting" on the part of Mother Jones. The left would refer to this as "throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks." It's what they do. 12. What Bill said to Glen Beck because I know some people here are to lazy to click on the link: "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  13. Of course all of this could have been avoided if we just required all cops to learn all languages know to man so that way they can communicate with anyone who comes to America. That is the answer! Fire all cops that can't speak every language know to man to include Xhosa! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZlp-croVYw "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 14. When you stop to consider that "97%" of the climate scientists subscribed to these comments on the web site, it kind of points out the problems using concensus as science. I'm not a denier or an AGW fanatic. I'm just waiting for more than a concensus before I decide the science is settled. This website is a good example of why. 15. Or they just raid a dealer if they want info on something. I don't know if you know the saga of Ares Armor in San Diego, but they have well documented BATFE abuses and over reach into their store, include ignoring restraining orders and everything. Ares Armor has well documented the abuses on their Web Site for everyone to see. http://aresarmor.com/store/Ares-Armor-dispute-with-the-ATF I wouldn't expect anything to happen to BATFE though. They are an untouchable government agency, kind of like the DOJ. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 16. So now you are saying it's better to live in Saudi Arabia again? Your intellect is truly dizzying.... I guess you don't want to address how your statistic might be flawed either.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  17. Only if your only criteria are the lower rape and murder rate. Are they yours? Or is the lower beheading rate your only criterion for living in the US? Do you think it's possible that someone might have a valid reason to enjoy living in another country besides the US? Wendy P. I don't know if you read back that far, but what started this was the age old question of "would you rather live under ISIS rule or be liberated by the U.S.?" Some people here seem to think that what ISIS does is none of our business, just leaving them alone in no way will come back to bite us in the ass, and if they cut off a few heads, who are we to judge? What's a few beheadings between friends? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  18. So I'm confused then, what was you point of posting that statistic right next to the same U.S. statistic? You posted it, don't back down now... Well, lets talk about your statistics then. Are you sure the rape statistic is correct? After all, it doesn't count as rape unless 4(?) males testify that it was. Until then, the woman was just whoring around. And then even if it was proven as rape, they punish the woman anyway. It's her fault she was raped. You think there might be a chance that the statistic is a little under reported? And I've been to Bahrain also. If you think Bahrain is Saudi Arabia, you should cross the bridge then give me your opinion (if you make it back...) I double dog dare you... And don't think I didn't notice the old switch-a-roo move either trying to supper impose Dubai with Saudi Arabia. Your troll-fu is weak today. Just in case you are wondering, even though Oman and Yemen are right next to each other are not the same. I would recommend Muscat and Salalah to anyone. The Diving and sight seeing are awesome. Yemen is a lot like California. It could be awesome if it wasn't for the people. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 19. No they are not. And if you want to be proud of being less violent than Mexico, I think you are making my point for me. And you suggested that America was more violent than Mexico. It that what they are teaching in Canada now a days? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  20. No problem, you posted statistics suggesting it's better to live in Saudi Arabia. I think the place is a complete and total utter fucking shit hole (speaking from personal experience. I would never go there unarmed without a huge contingency of fellow americans to watch my back and my butt hole.) Did I miss something? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 21. And it was only a few posts ago!!! Old age? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  22. For gun purchases? I could but even your favorite media outlets have reported on record yearly gun sales Or Are you talking the crime stats? You continue to be the most violent and murderous society in the Western World. Standing up and screaming how proud you are of that is rather silly. ..... Because Mexico where guns are completely illegal and portions of the country are under the control of drug cartels and some towns where citizens have had enough have armed militias are taking over is SO MUCH better.... 23. Agreed... though probably not for the same reasons as you... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  24. If those were my only choices? Raped. Probably more of a chance to get out of the situation alive.... But then again, that is not a choice I have to make. I'm not throwing out statistics trying to claim that Saudi Arabia is better than or in any way the Moral Equivalent to the U.S. So what would be your choice? Should I buy you the tickets? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  25. While those numbers are what are reported, are you really arguing that life in Saudi Arabia or Iraq is the same as the U.S? You think there is a Moral Equivalent? I'll buy you a ticket to move you and your family there if you really think that, I mean, according you your statistics, life might even be better.....
