  1. For one second I thought that there maybe IS a place where price drops are really happening . Beisdes doing tandem videos, I see it is going to be "swoop only" season for me dudeist skydiver #42
  2. POV from somebody on another continent: Jump ticket to 10k (Cessna DZ) went to 30 Euros ~ 43$. Not they will not. Like all other commodities, prices just go up. Never down. When fuel prices drop, there is more money left to the aircraft owner/DZO, and people already "got used" to the price. Start of this season was weak... dudeist skydiver #42
  3. It`s in the Neos range, little under 2.5k USD. dudeist skydiver #42
  4. JVX is too much for me to handle right now. As I hear JFX is a bit more "tame", and looks like better transition from XFire. Still, no answers from somebody that jumped both Neos and JFX. dudeist skydiver #42
  5. [replyIf you do a search you can find some decent info on the JFX. Or, email Attila at NZ Aerosports and he’ll give you a good run down. Believe demos will be very scarce. There was a discussion here about JFX, but it was more about the "next new Icarus canopy". Still just one video of an opening (that 10k feet snivel), no in-air videos, and more so not so much testimonials except test jumpers. I thought more people jump it by now (and people like you that switched from NEOS). And we already contacted Attila and we got the price quote dudeist skydiver #42
  6. Two reasons: 1. Velo is way too aggressive for me. I`m looking for step up from the xfire and would probably go with the Neos, but random rogue openings are a big issue. JFX is advertised as no-hassle everyday xbraced "for camera work and even for wingsuiting". So I`m interested in opinions of people that jumped both. How much of a step up is JFX over NEOS and/or Xfire... 2. I`m an Icarus fanboy dudeist skydiver #42
  7. I think I've heard about this, but didn't know anyone who tried it... Thanks for the tip-off, I will look into this.
  8. Hi all. I would be interested in opinion of people that both jumped Neos and JFX. Opening/flying comparative characteristics... Which one would be better step up from Crossfire? Thanks. dudeist skydiver #42

I see you got my point dude. It`s just bad period. It`ll pass. It always does
  10. Maybe you could contact these guys http://www.skydivenovisad.com/tunel.html. I think they use ~500HP T-55 tank engine and AN-2 prop. It looks like this tunnel is underpowered for flying in regular jumpsuits and thus they fly in big baggy suits. The guy who made it tried to get stronger tank engine ~1000HP but i think this did not happen. You could try to contact him directly. Look for Sasa Jojic. There is also this one in my vicinity that i know of. dudeist skydiver #42
  11. Like it! As others said, you could start a t-shirt line. dudeist skydiver #42

  14. +1 I learned most of the "modern" stuff. We mostly have instructors that can pass knowledge on history. New stuf (from 80`s up to now ) not so much. So thanks people on dz.com. dudeist skydiver #42
  15. They certainly made an oath when they signed up. And about every oath that I heard of had something like "defend country from all enemy, foreign or domestic" and "follow the orders of the president" or similar. Just because of that, they really could be shot as traitors. But if protesters win, then they would be heroes. Right? So if something like this happened in your country (not directed to you Fish, but to all), what do you think, where would most of the army/police members stand? Would they bomb or would they defect? dudeist skydiver #42
  16. Sweet! Post a pit or two when you get to it. TTYL dudeist skydiver #42
  17. The name was Lars (?) if I remember. Low-timer, around 100 jumps. Works as a photographer, that`s why he was here. On the other side, I need my second coffee this morning. NES, machine made dudeist skydiver #42
  18. It's Zuckerberg. What, FB will rule the Middle East? dudeist skydiver #42
  19. But who is behind all that? CIA, al-Qaeda or some third party? I have witnessed some of the social earthquakes first-hand and from what I have seen, nothing happens by accident or spontaneous. There are no spontaneous gatherings of people. There is always someone in charge. Someone planing. Someone organizing people. And someone paying it. So who is funding this? And, what will be the outcome? Shitty "democracy" like in Iraq, or "Ayatollah" type fundamentalist country? dudeist skydiver #42
  20. IMO, anyone who would like to take any skydiving course should make at least one (tandem) jump before. There is no way that anyone can guess or know in advance what it`s like to make a skydive before making the actual jump. Probably, a large majority of people that decide to go that path will love it (as wee all did), but there are also people that will not. What I want to say is: you can THINK with all your heart that you`ll love it, but you will never know for sure until you jump. A little too much wishful thinking in regards to serious things like career path or student loans. my2c dudeist skydiver #42
  21. LOL.... Well it wouldn't mix very well with my current meds Oh, that kind of meds... Ok, we will skip beer then, but I`ll take the Irish Coffee. If we forget lousy paychecks and bad weather it all supergreat Just last weekend we visitor from your country at our DZ. Think he jumps at Östersunds Fallskärmsklubb which is pretty far from your place. Anyway, we were weather-out so we had to stick to local food. Feel free to drop by anytime
  22. Should we skip coffee and switch to beer right away? Nice to see you back doode
  23. Woody Harrelson would not agree. Have you seen "Zombieland"? Plus, anything that is sweet and high in calories has to be considered vice dudeist skydiver #42
  24. ...Twinkies! Now, how could I fergit `bout that (* we don`t have those here though, but I`ll stockpile some other vice) dudeist skydiver #42
