  1. Oh it HAS force alright. It`s Skyventure franchise if I remember. dudeist skydiver #42
  2. I was there back in 2009. (the big tunnel was still under construction). I was never at any other tunnel, so no references, but I keep good memories. Learned lots of stuff. Flew 5.5 hours, freefly. Staff was very nice. English language could be an issue to some extent, as not all coaches have same english speaking skills. Still, lots of people (foreigners) are coming from Kolomna DZ, doing some tunnel flying then back to DZ do some jumps. I think it`s about hour+ drive dz-to-tunnel. I hope I was helpfull. dudeist skydiver #42

    Viso II ?

I turn it off every single time. I`m not trying to bash you, but you must read AND understand the manual. Basicaly, you have two levels of menus. First level shows you data and things. Second level is setup. 1. You enter second level and cycle it until you get to "OFF". 2. You hold top and bottom buttons together until it switches off. dudeist skydiver #42
  4. You could try: Limitless Shutter Island dudeist skydiver #42
  5. Hi there. Can anyone give me some tips on doing camera for 20-ish RW formations? Useful stuff, things that are not so obvious? Formations will be RW belly, 20-25 way, one tailgate aircraft (Mi-8), participants with very diverse skill levels, several jump days. I have about 700+ camera jumps (mostly tandems, smaller RW loads, some FF - usual c182 DZ stuff). I jump with wings. Also I did a lot of jumps from Mi-8. I have the overall plan, but you don`t know what you dont know... Thanks. dudeist skydiver #42
  6. I watched that video and I also remember Mr. Kent`s opinion. It`s reasonable and usable. But when all you jump is c182 from 9-10k feet... No time dudeist skydiver #42
  7. Dark Temple! F*ck yeah! dudeist skydiver #42
  8. Douglas, which bitrates (max, average) are you using for 720p .mp4? dudeist skydiver #42
  9. ...and then, just before "Go!" tandem passenger stands on your foot, without TI noticing. Happened to me once or twice But you`re right. You can jump almost any aircraft without any additional handles. dudeist skydiver #42
  10. But even for that... You should think (and act) lightning fast... On the funny side (sorry, I need some humor these days), if one like you have 3000 years of experience, anything is possible and doable And I agree 100%, other guys would be "WTF?" for sure. Just to keep their minds from their doom... dudeist skydiver #42
  11. No. Once that plane started falling it was over in 4-5 seconds. You would have window of one or two seconds to realize what`s happening, do your rigging and bail out. And that is a stretch. In reality, you would spend first second realizing something is wrong, next second wondering what`s up, and third second looking at the pilot and by that time... you`re done. dudeist skydiver #42
  12. I`m guessing Format is asking because of the recent fatalities where friends of ours died in plane crash... The plane crashed almost after take-off and was not higher than 300ft. It crashed almost vertically. Nobody got out. The whole thing happened in 20-30 seconds. So what to do if you are at 300ft with engine on fire (C-182), cabin filled with smoke/flames, diving towards the ground? Probably nothing. No time. dudeist skydiver #42
  13. I`m baffeled too... To the point that I think this whole thing might be a hoax? It`s sooo "unreal". Could it be? Why? dudeist skydiver #42
  14. I don`t know why it`s banned, but here is Sendspace link dudeist skydiver #42
  15. Somebody linked it on the FB, and I was surprised it didn`t show up earlier... I`m a fresh TM but I mostly do video. While I was watching this it for the first time I was just thinking what would I do? As videographer? As TI, I would not jump. It was pretty obvious this person don`t want to either. dudeist skydiver #42
  16. Yes, that is very similar to your post, but it was cutaway handle (my reserve is metal D). I had two "incidents" like this and on both of those jumps I was flying longer on my back before deployment, pitching PC not long after rolling over. Second time the yellow cutaway cable was extracted about 3 inches... After that I started doing quick visual handle check after I roll over dudeist skydiver #42
  17. I did a search but could not find reference to THIS! Any comments? Sorry if it is a repost... dudeist skydiver #42
  18. About those blow holes... Last weekend I almost ended up cutting away perfectly good canopy, by snagging cutaway handle with inside of the wing. Wings are attached by quick release snaps to inside of legstraps. The wing jacket in pictures, I have it about season and a half and this problem never appeared until now. Belly-fly no problem. But, when I fly longer on my back it seems that in some body positions, inside seam of the wing can catch upper part of the cutaway handle. When I switch back to belly it peels of handle from it`s place. Talk about surprise on opening dudeist skydiver #42
  19. Incosistency is the issue here. One time out of 10 you get slammer. Otherwise nice long openings. I jumped that Neos myself couple of times, it`s real sweet canopy. Just those openings... This makes me think it`s something about packing. We`ll see about that packing once my buddy fix his neck. dudeist skydiver #42
  20. Is this rolling the nose BS never die? You got a device which controls the speed of opening. Why to fix something which is ain't broken? Why do you think that your roll has any effect in 100 mph wind? I got a jump on Neos 104. I've packed like anything else. It opened soft and swiveled long. Well, buddy of mine is considering every option after last weekend. It`s Neos 104 after line mod. This is the video from last jump on Saturday. And this is the video from last jump on Sunday Maybe it`s not the canopy, but the packing... OTOH, he DOES pack slow and takes his time, everytime. dudeist skydiver #42
  21. NOT when you make them jump their own pack job!!!!. Oh, you are right. Forgot about that one. dudeist skydiver #42
  22. I`m with you on that. It seems that most of the people pay more attention when paying for something, than when it`s free. dudeist skydiver #42
  23. Story of my life dudeist skydiver #42
  24. Exactly. Use whatever is best for you. Side note: At college where I work, last year we opened new multimedia classroom with 21 Mac (other classrooms are PC). Since then (year or so) I`m getting productivity drop and constant bitching from students working on Macs. I don`t know weather it is because of the OS, or the mouse, or keyboard shortcuts... but I can`t see any of the advantages that Mac users point out. At least not the advantages that justify the cost. Except that the whole room looks like USS Enterprise bridge and they do have better screens. dudeist skydiver #42
