  1. If the manufacturer's complaint is the fact that it takes too long to make the fabric, then why can't you provide it? I have seen many rigs with fabric that the owner provided, such as camo
  2. What are you looking to gain from somebody telling you they are over the TSO weight limit?
  3. Maybe you could ask the manufacturer if you provided the fabric, if they could make it from that. And then have a local rigger stitch together the pieces to make it checkered
  4. Awhile back I moved, and my address was all screwy and I missed 4-5 copies of the magazine. I emailed them, and they sent all the ones I missed in one big package. Thats allot of reading! Thanks USPA
  5. Its too bad those guys are killing a whole bunch of elephants. But don't you think that if there was a hunting area where the animal population was closely monitored, and only one or two were taken at a time, that it would be alright? Humans used to kill and eat animals everyday. I think that people who still practice this are being responsible for their own consumption of meat, not sadistic mofos who enjoy cruelty. What if a hunter decides, hey, I have been hunting and eating deer and fowl for some time now, I wonder what buffalo is like to kill and eat? What about elephant? Or Lion? Don't you think that they should have the opportunity in life to do this? I do, and as long as it is done responsibly, without destroying the population of some animal. Besides, $100,000 for an elephant? DAMN. That has got to do some good for the local economy. The government should impose a tax on it and take 3/4s
  6. I was searching stuff and thought it would be allot easier if your search results could be returned with just the thread name only, rather than all of the post titles within that thread. maybe i'm just doing it wrong. Thanks!
  7. Sounds good. Do they have it in a microwave version?
  8. I don't know much about gear, but if it is safe, I think you got a dope deal. Most people are not spending that little to get in the air, more jumps for you!
  9. SWEET. I have been dying to jump a tailgate. oh, and I don't think you would want me on the 60 way, unless you want it bombed worse than hiroshima

I agree, norcos are the SHIT! oxys are some strong stuff. I hear you have to get multiple doc's to sign off on the prescription. They have HUGE dosages available though, say the normal dosage is 10mg (way stronger than 10mg of hydrocodone) they go all the way to 100mg. if a normal person with no tolerance took a 100mg, they would definitely die.
  11. I have to second spawn in saying you gotta visualize the jump a bunch of times, when you are up there it is easy to forget what maneuver comes next. You are going to love it man!!!

Oh btw, did you take some right before that picture of yours?

Thats a big 10-4. Don't mix with alcohol if you care about your liver at all. And go easy if you care about your stomach lining as well. What you gotta do though is either break em up, or "parachute" them. (how fitting for a skydiving forum, hahaha) This involves smashing them into powder and putting them into a small piece of tissue before you ingest. But don't tell your mom I told you that
  14. I hope they work out first. I heard that high altitude jump over the straight of Gibraltar was really exhausting towards the end. maybe a new suit design that is semi rigid? Sounds like a fun jump regardless
  15. Biplane huh? NICE. So, what aircraft will for sure be there? 60 way is going to take a few...
  16. It looks like he is getting some major help from the hot air ballon, when he releases he drops below them. Also, 10,000ft is lame. I would be interested in doing the same thing, but might as well make it 35,000ft or something coo. P.S. Is it just me or does he dump way too soon
  17. You mean plane, not plain. You won't know why its fun until you try it, and I would say that it is "sorta" safe. hope this answers your questions
  18. You should be able to put one together no problem. I am in the same process, My Harness was $1100, reserve $500, main $300. The main is an f111, though, so figure $500-800 for a good used ZP. AADs can be found anywhere from 300-1200. I have not yet bought mine, but it seems like if you want a cypress buying a new one is the way to go. You can get them new for $1000 if you shop around, I think the dealer price is $850. And remember, don't buy a reserve that is smaller than your main, after a cutaway you don't want to have to deal with a spicy canopy.
  19. The mother of all jello shots. http://www.revver.com/video/171283/strongest-jello-shot/
  20. I'll give it a try, but natural and energy drink just don't seem to mix. Hope it has loads of caffeine.
  21. Just don't get the fruit punch, had one the other day and it tastes friggin nasty
  22. Well the problem is, is that you could not easily convert tandem gear to regular format, they have extra handles and equipment specific to 2 people. The max weight (I think) for most parachutes is 254lbs, and this is exit weight. So that means 220 or so without gear. Do some research on parachutes and figure out if any are approved above that limit. I would think military gear is designed to handle higher amounts because they add additional items such as weapons etc, so if you can find a main and reserve that can handle your weight, and a harness that will allow it, then go for it! Of course, you will have to buy all of your stuff before you make a jump, which is quite an investment, don't expect any training centers to have this sort of thing laying around. Also, don't feel offended by the fact that manufacturers will not make gear to suit 280lbs, that is rather large. You represent a very small percent of people who want to skydive, and unless you are 7 foot and built like a brick shit house, you have to expect them to expect you to loose some weight before you jump. But again, read up on weight limits, I would not be surprised if the military freefall systems could handle it. (btw, with gear, you are looking at 320lb+)
  23. Easy way to cut down on gas: For areas that are farther away from your location, just advertise a bunch in a population dense neighborhood and tell them "we are coming to your area on monday" or whatever. That way you can hit a few houses without having to come back to home base. Also, hiring illegals seems to work great for the gardeners in my area.
