  1. Current means something we have quick and easy access to, so basically we haven't filed it away in our filing cabinet yet. That's why we have people fill out waivers at the boogie, even if they've filled one out fairly recently. If you come out to the dz for the first time the weekend before the boogie the dzm has decided to put those waivers in the place we're going to store the boogie waivers, that way you don't have to fill one out again a few days later. If the last time we got a waiver and checked your gear and all the other fun paperwork was the between the last boogie and this coming up weekend, you're gonna have to hang out in registration for a few minutes. See you at the boogie! ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  2. You need the two sides of the waiver itself, and one copy of the "notice". The notice should only be 1/2 a page. Also regarding waivers: if you don't have a current waiver on file or have never been to the DZ you will need to fill out a waiver and have it turned in to manifest before you do a balloon jump, if you plan on doing one of those. Manifest will not be there at dawn (you wouldn't want to see us that early, not pretty... ), so make sure you get there by sunset on Wednesday if you're not there the previous weekend. ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  3. Just a heads up for everyone planning on heading out to play, if you haven't pre-registered yet go ahead and give manifest a call (530-753-2651). If you pre-reg and then get the waiver off the website (www.skydanceskydiving.net) then you'll spend a lot less time in manifest trying to get registered. Also, if you're interested in balloon jumps you'll need to pre-pay, as the jumps will be happening long before manifest opens (jumps will start at dawn). Any questions, call manifest or email me. See ya at the boogie! -Mo ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  4. I will probably be in manifest, just look me up. I'll make sure you get through the whole check-in process, which is really easy, and get on your first boogie load as quickly as possible! Don't want to miss a moment, it's great fun! Ed is right, we do have daily registration if you can only make it one day. And there will be pre-reg, I'll post the date that will start once I know. If you can make it out for more than one day, there is plenty of space to camp. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or email me directly at [email protected]. Looking forward to seeing you at your first boogie! -Morrigan ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  5. There is a lot of space to camp and beer and food for Friday and Saturday night is included in registration. The diner will be open for any other food/drink you need. If you need anything while at the boogie be sure to look me up, just ask manifest (I may be in there) where I am. Chances are if I'm not in the hangar or manifest I'll be at Kaleidoscope's team room by the creeper pad.
  6. Mark your calendars and ask the boss for time off work: SkyDance SkyDiving's 2008 American Boogie is going to be all sorts of fun June 19th-22nd (Thursday-Sunday). As more information is available we'll let you know, but what we DO know is: -the fabulous folks from Aerodyne will be coming out with the full line of demos (Pilot, Mamba, Smart Reserve, Vision, and Icon harnesses). If you haven't had the chance to meet them before and try out their products this is a great chance to do so, those of you who have met them know they're a great group of friendly and helpful folks. -RW and freefly organizing will be available for those of you who are interested. Collin Bruce has some great events planned for every day of the boogie: Thursday there will be 30-way color coded jumps, Friday will see some 60-way fun, Saturday is a 20-36 way sequential day, and Sunday is all about jumpin' with toys! -As always, those of you who yearn to jump at night will have the chance to do so Friday night till midnight. That's the info I can confirm right now, if anyone has any questions feel free to contact me directly: [email protected]. Looking forward to another great boogie! -Mo
  7. It's absolutely valid to have concerns about who you're jumping with when you're in a tandem situation. Having been a part of SkyDance for many years I will personally say that I would trust the staff to take anyone in my family on a jump and trust them with my own safety as well. Not being involved in your particular situation I can't comment about the response you say you recieved from the dropzone, but I would recommend calling and asking to talk to the chief instructor about your concerns. Wherever you decide to go, I hope you enjoy your skydiving experience and feel like you were in safe hands. ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  8. I know we're looking around. One of the problems with getting a chopper is the fact that it's kind of fire season, and sometimes local guys provide support for the fire copters. So I'll check in with Neal and see if he's had any luck tracking someone down. We'll do our best!
  9. We're talking to several vendors, but whatever we get we're making sure it's the best! ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  10. Hey folks! Just one month until SkyDance hosts it's annual American Boogie. June 21-24th (Thurs-Sun) we're going to party like only skydivers can! Oh... and jump a lot . We're getting a SkyVan and a Twin Otter to help our PAC get you tons of air time, and some great organizers to keep you entertained and on some great jumps. With your registration you'll get dinners and beer on Friday and Saturday nights and we're lining up some tasty grub and excellent beer, so get ready to fill your bellies! Check out www.skydanceskydiving.net for more info, and I'll add anything here as it gets finalized. Hope to see another great turnout, it's always fun to see old friends and new!!! Blue skies, Morrigan ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
  11. It seems that both of the SkyDance manifesters have made other plans for the 4th so......... ....SkyDance is going to have a "NO Manifest day!" Come out on the 4th and jump as many times as you can for $120.00. No manifesting, just pack and go to the plane. We will be open starting at 8 am and we'll keep jumping till 6:30 pm, when it's time to get ready for the Davis 4th of July Demo. Rules: Cash only, one rig only, no back to back loads, unless we shut down. We are looking for a few volunteers to help that day. Blue skies!
  12. Tui and I have some great costumes! Hope everyone gets into the costume/party vibe, should be fun! See ya! -Morrigan ~I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter~
