    ITW Fatality

Here is the homepage of Eddies Film that will come out soon. http://www.toedliche-verbindungen.de/ click "weiter zur Webseite"and then click the making of. The Guy behind the camera with the ABA Shirt is Eddie... Fly free Eddie, I only jumped with you once but I will never forget it because on the hike to the exit our main subject was how healthy it is to start a week with purge medicine, then do a clyster and then do not eat anything and only drink fruit juice for an entire week...

    Breakcord

The chances of the bridle and/or PC entangling the object are much, much higher using this method. I really do not like it regardless who and where it was used. I know of at lest two incidents where this method could have resulted in two fatalities. TowerTopper can chime in hopefully sharing his view on this (one of the two incident). You could stow the remaining bridel with a rubber band to keep it together. edit: when I say stow I mean to just s-fold the remaining bridel and keep it together with a rubber band... That's because I static line stuff you would probably freefall... :-) Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
  15. I got my box from cookie also last week and I'm mounting it with the same set up, exept that my quick release plate is from Bonehead (goldmember). The only thing that I'm worried is that there is a big potencial for snaging the lines and as I'm using it for 99% of my jumps in BASE jumping I'm a bit scared of this. What is your experience? same as droquette: I would never ever do a static line jump without a pc as a back up. And you don't use the static line to pull out the pc. You use the brake cord to tye the pc on it's connection point with the bridal (or closer to the pins if it is an ultra low jump) to the object. But you never dismount the pc (or at least I would not...) from the bridal. Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch

Don't be to sure, Toni is now also on the dark side... he has been seen wearing those devilish tracking pants over his tracking jeans :-) Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch

track stuff can put you in deep sh*t. Fast. Hard. what exactly? (do you mean that track pants/jacket can put you in serious trouble or objects where you need track pants/jacket can put you in trouble?) If you can't track without tracking gear and think you can compensate your lack of skill by wearing tracking stuff you are in trouble. It will give you a wrong feeling of security. Next step could be to buy a wingsuit if you still can't track with tracking gear. Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch

  21. All the jumpers that you have seen in the video have between 500 and 1500 skydives. But it was their first jump on a BASE Canopy. And during this time of the year there is very limited space to land, you have to land in half brakes. For that they did not do to bad... 23. The span is high enough to do this. As soon as the one who holds the pc sees that the student is stable he can let go the pilot. It is a 46" pilot chute. This way the student can enjoy freefall a bit longer. Michi (#1068) hsbc/gba/sba www.swissbaseassociation.ch www.michibase.ch
  24. I have seen your rigs and I would jump them anytime without any doubts. And because a mistake like this could happen (I agree that it should not...) I always check and dobble check when I get new gear. And even I you don't check it specialy, if you pack your rig and do not notice that one riser is longer then the other you probably deserve to get hurt on a jump... 25. What if…: I would move back to Mexico and open up a FJC with my Mexican friends at our span there. It has the same height as the S in TF. And the graduation jump would be of the pillar of the same span which allows to do up to 5s Slider up jump. Check out the video “School of BASE” in the video section of Mexbase. We would probably offer different types of FJC. Death camps with PCA’s for jumpers without any experience, normal FJC for people with skydiving experience. We could make a “Gringo Discount” for US Citizens if the groups are bigger then 10 people. As the span is close to Acapulco, a night there with Hooters, Cliff divers and a Building jump could be offered for maybe a 150.— USD extra. And because Tom is a friend and I owe him he could rent the bridge for some weekends for his FJC and would have to pay us only a minimal amount for each student. Gabo, what do you think? Sounds nice…
