So glad no one had a camera going for my landing at SOBE. If it isn't on film it didn't happen right? Nice video, we all learn from our mistakes. As I hear very often, if you make mistakes, you better be tough.

I tend to talk about it a lot, but around my wuffo friends I have tapered it back a bit just to ensure I don't annoy them. It's funny the one guy that used to give me the most hell for talking about it asks me about it all the time now. As I was being put under anesthetic at the oral surgeons on Friday, I actually talked the nurse into coming out to the DZ for a tandem. Even managed to get a business card out of my wallet before I went under. Nah, I don't talk about it too much.

My favorite anoying e-mail habit was consistently done by a former boss. He would forward an e-mail and simply put either: f/u or please f/u. As if the please makes it better. I almost fell out of my chair the first time I saw it then figured out it meant follow up.

I'm not a programer, but I used AS400 for a few years and actually liked the query system. Once you learn it, it is intuitive. Wish I was as good with SAP and Oracle. Now I depend on the IT department.

I am 250 exit weight and am flying a Sabre 230. It isn't fun to pack, but at least I haven't experienced the rumored hard openings.

In sixth grade, we had to gather a collection of short poems. One of the ones I chose was called The Optimist The optimist fell ten stories, at each window bar he shouted to his friends; "All right so far" --Unknown Sounds like a base jump to me... I can't believe I actually wrote in cursive. Now I print and only sign my name in cursive.

Wish I could, but the reason I am going to be in Atlanta is for my buddy's house warming party and since he is the one I am taking to the DZ for his first tandem, it might just be considered bad form. Wish I could join y'all though.

Kids are great. I only get to see my 5 year old nephew twice a year, but talk to him on the phone more often. Just last week I called and he felt the need to thank me for a Christmas gift I had given him in person. "thanks for the telescope (actually a microscope, but who's counting), uncle Jim"......I asked him what he looked at he responded his dogs hair, I asked him what he saw and he commented to his father "Dad, there weren't too many germs were there?" Gotta love the kids.

I have been working on my fall rate, but I have been having trouble falling slower than 123 per a pro track. We can give it a shot though.

I am going to be down in Atlanta this weekend and will be taking a friend for his first tandem. I plan on belly flying while he is doing the tandem. Just wondering if anyone is going to be at the Farm on Sunday and cares to belly fly. I have to admit at a little less than 50 jumps, I still have my training wheels on.
