Back in the old fogey days before 3rd brake lights were mandatory we used to just reach over and turn the lights on. No brake checking necessary! My grandfather used to have a toggle switch hard wired to the reverse lights on his old AMC. Anytime someone tailgated he would say "watch this" and hit the switch. As kids in the back we would laugh at the offending drivers surprised faces as they slammed on the brakes. Fun times!

There is a radio station in town that has a contest for DL tickets every time they come to town. The contest is called "1 arm or 2?". They play a DL song and the first one to call in with correct number of arms drumming wins.

OK If I'm not home and someone breaks in they will never find it. If I am at home when someone breaks in, the alarm and the dogs will go off, buying me the time I need.

For me, it will take less than 5 seconds to punch/kick a hole through a thin, painted over plasterboard wall to gain access to a loaded weapon. I am the only one that knows it's there!

Yeah, some of us old timers had to learn to skydive the old fashioned way: by actually jumping out of airplanes. I would rather waste my $$ on SKYDIVING and gear than in a windy tube!
