  1. Try a search on google for 'Navigator Travel'. They gave a price of £60 for 1 weeks worth of jumping in the US - Doesnt cover equipment tho.
  2. I mean when I get off my AFF and can do my consols!
  3. Hello people, did a search on Headcorn and found a few old threads. See few people I think I can identify... Tilly and Macca being 2 of 'em Wondering who else we got.. You may have seen me getting pissed off waiting for the wind to drop while you lot just keep jumping whatever the weather! Show yourselves so I can say hi. PS It might be beer time soon
  4. I think if it has an educational purpose and you dont see the ultimate conclusion then its OK. But still should only be used with families permission.
  5. I gotta say, as another newbie, this thread has been really informative. Made me think about few things when it comes to that difficult point of buying own kit. Without much experience I still think im qualified to say, do what you feel comfortable with. If you got any negative thoughts of going straight for the big drop, dont do it. Dont worry about what your instructors will think. Theyd feel worse if based on information they gave you you went a did something silly.
  6. Clam down. Im sure the family wouldnt have liked it all over the internet. I dont see how it is a training tool. If you want to see the effects of an incident like that, why dont you try being the one telling them there son has died. Its horrible, words cant describe what its like to tell someone that, let alone be in there position. I think you need to have some respect.
  7. I used to prepare vehicles before they were painted. Ideally you need to gut the helmet of all fabric etc, and use a grey scotchbrite pad with cutting paste. This will very lightly key the surface so it doesnt damage the construction of the helmet at all. http://www.midwayautosupply.com/detailedproductdescription.asp?3999 Painting using automotive paint is actually very hard to get a good finish, and for the paint to go off it needs to be baked in an oven, which is what they do with the cars. But this would definately distort the shape of the helmet because it needs a hefty temperature. Also, WORD OF CAUTION: Automotive paint contains iso-cyanites which will kill you with long term unprotected exposure. WEAR A MASK FOR RUBBING DOWN AND MASK AND SUIT FOR ALL PAINTING!! THE DUST FROM THE PAINT CANNOT BE BROKEN DOWN BY YOUR BODY AND WILL POISON YOU!! THE HARMUL CHEMICALS CAN ALSO ENTER YOUR BODY THROUGH YOUR SKIN!! Even if short term, means you feels like crap for couple of days and keep coughing up shit.
  8. Hey, I spent some time in the tunnel after level 4. Made my turns for level 5 pretty nice. Tunnel taught me 2 crucial things, and you just gonna have to take my word for it for now. 1) RELAX! 2) If all goes wrong, ARCH! You will recover stable
  9. Well done mate. Wheres your local UK DZ?
  10. Paul, whens this promo vid gonna be ready for us all to see? I keep checking the website and I downloaded the first one. But im waiting for the whopper!

  13. Hehe, yeah. Funnily enough, found that video earlier today. Very surprised the small amount of injuries. I loved the bit when the pilot lost his glasses, as if it couldnt get any worse!
  14. One question Id like to throw in. Probably wouldnt happen but what if you were the last one out the door and it happened to you?
  15. ...and funerals are even dearer
  16. That fills me with so much confidence
  17. Yeah, your legal constraints/liabilities sound tough. Suggest if shes that keen she could go to a wind tunnel or something and come back to do the proper jump at the required age. Out of principal, as soon as someone gets all cocky, I stand by my original decision. Even if in hindsight its wrong. The guys an asshole and needs to be made an example of!! Poor old Veruca in the middle I feel sorry for
  18. Yeah was awesome, and i just know if i can crack it in the tunnel with bit of time and effort itll be worth it, I cant wait to jump with my instructors on next level, although I only had 10 mins I reckon ill be much improved. If nothing else I learnt the importance of relaxing and if all goes wrong JUST ARCH!!!
  19. OK, much like the other peoples comments... gotta say, it rocked! Only frustrating thing was bashing walls and losing position but im only new to it... If I can master it in the tunnel, i can master it out in the big wide world too. YAY! Ill see you guys and girls again REAL soon
