  1. I'm OC in our team and have our point taking a high grip on me so i can keep both hands on the bar, IC also has a high grip on my right arm, naturally as soon as I let go I take the high grips on IC and point to secure the launch though.. For us as little females it ensures that I stay in place during faster run in's, that its a nice strong exit with multiple grips keeping it secure and that I can happily present my left leg without the old fear of falling off prematurely (its happened before!!). *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  2. Just over a month to go and the plans are finally coming together. Meetings & Introductions will be at the Blue Skies Cafe on Friday night from around 8.30pm onwards, for those not arriving till Saturday, we will meet you at the dz when you arrive, just look for the small hyper one and you'll find me ;) The weekend is set to be a fairly busy one with a few coming out for an extended weekend, hopefully the weather will play ball and we will get some nice groups put together for some great jumps. For those coming for the whole week we are planning 2 days off from the DZ, which these will be will most likely be confirmed when we're there but there will still be planned things happening away from the DZ if you want to join in! The weekdays at the DZ will be a more intimate group so will allow for those of you who want to try new things to do so, maybe you have a new slot you want to try or want to see how a new flying technique pans out? Don't worry we've not forgot the Freeflyers, I'm still after someone who is willing to take the lead on this and give the girls capable of jumping in groups some ideas of things to try :) After jumping each night the group will be heading to one of many of Empuriabrava's restaurants for dinner, we will be having a night at Blue Skies Cafe and a night on the DZ at the bar there too. The bar crawl will be on the Thursday night before we go home and has a Storybook 'happily ever after' theme. It's set to be a fun week with lots of jumps, partying and prizes, we also have a rep from SkyKarma attending to showcase her wonderful clothing line for all you fashion conscious girls. Hope to see you there! Donna *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  3. I'm looking to buy a RaWa helmet and prefer the extra coverage of the vision. At the moment I will be primarily using the helment for filming FS coaching jumps (so on level), will this be ok with a 170 degree wide angle lense? I'll be probably moving into freefly for fun jumps next year so dont want to fork out for two helmets if I can use one.. *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  4. Generally most camera helmets are open face due to the ability to mount a camera on them without the visor issue and because on most full faces its quite hard to install a fully functional cutaway feature. There are three current full faces that sell additional parts to fit a camera - Skysystems sidewinder (albeit a little out of date now), G3, and there is now a Bonehead version called REvolve, although depending on where you live/jump and the CCI these still may not be a viable option. The G3 I like the look of and the REvolve is a bit uglier but definately presents a possible option for those wanting to still jump full faces. Both side mount the Contour but side mounted cameras present a higher risk of snagging and riser strikes (and therefore higher risk of losing your camera!). The options for open face camera helmets is endless though...I was looking to adapt my Z1 to accept a contour but after looking into it, I think i'm going to give in to jumping an open face (with a cutaway system) when I want to use my camera so I can top mount it using the square1 horizontal mount. *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  5. I'm afraid there are only really 3 DZ's in Ireland (2 in south, 1 in north). The one near Dublin is IPC, really nice friendly place, I spent quite a bit of time jumping there a few years ago. I've not visited the other one in the south. The one in the North is Wild Geese but that one is British Parachute Association registered. Best bet is give IPC a call or stick a message on their FB page and see if they can help at all, other than that its playing by their rules i'm afraid! 6. Less than 3 months to go and the plans are starting to come together so far the week will include - A speed star style comp with a difference- first 3 to the base will get a prize, with one catch - big way rules apply -stop before you dock, hard docks mean you get the wooden spoon instead ;) Depending on interest - anyway up scrambles comp, freeflyers or flatflyers, as long as the dock is taken its a point. Fancy dress skydive - theme this year is Superheroes. Plus Regan Tetlow will be organising lots of fun FS jumps and we are still looking for someone to take the lead with the FF girls. For those experienced enough, if we get good conditions we may be able to organise a beach jump too! After jumping and for the days off we have numerous plans - Bar crawls, Tapas and cocktails night (with a live band), boat trip, go karting sessions and of course the prize giving evening (donators so far include Nec Suits, L&B, Sarah Neale Creative services, Zaggora, Cypres and a couple of things thrown in by me and some other skydivers, hopefully more to confirm over the next couple of months) It's going to be a great week so come join the fun in Skydive Empuriabrava between the 19th October and the 26th October :) *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  7. Hey, A couple of years ago I ran an event in Empuria for females only. The aim to have a female friendly atmosphere where we could skydive and party for a weekend. The event was great fun and received good feedback so this year I am planning on running it again but over a week instead of a weekend. The event is in the early stages of planning but will be open to all female skydivers - if you fancy a week in one of Europes top DZ's with like mided females who like to jump and party - please come along!! Confirm your place on the Facebook event page and keep updated with the plans as they are formed :-) https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/245570415527317/ *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  8. You know i count you as one of my friends and it uspets me that my posts were taken in the incorrect context! Just be Careful, look after yourself and i look forward to hear you survived your next stunt and to watch the results. *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  9. See you havent learnt not to take things to heart yet sam! As for the advert, as i said on my PM, i think its genius. I was advised you were not actually on the jump and the razor did not have a blade in it and if this is not correct, i apologise. As i said in my PM, just be careful! No one wants to hear someone they know has gone in for trying some stunt that went horribly wrong! *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  10. Just to clarify! As far as i know, you were not on this jump and as for the shaving, you might want to admit the fact that no one is stupid enough to use a razor with a blade in it! *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!

    Skydive Spain

After my second visit to skydive spain within 2 months i would highly recommend this DZ, the staff, vibe and organisation was great, no complaints about the weather either. Even as a low experience skydiver there were people for me to jump with and i didn't feel like my experience was a disadvantage. Big thumbs up to the staff there! :-D
  12. I have someone who recently recieved a new sonic free fly suit, production has not halted but he did confirm even on a rush order it took more than 8 weeks and he had trouble getting an answer from them, even though they had took the money already. Hoping they are just going through a short bad patch!! their suits are of top quality and even though he had to wait, he is more than pleased with it. *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  13. Got to agree with you! I ordered a brand new Hod Bod suit and put it on a double rush, i expcted it to still take a few weeks as i live in the uk but it only took a week and a half, better still, it worked out cheaper than one of the leading uk manufacturers for better quality! *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  14. im just about to order my first rig but dont know whether to have a hackey or freefly pad put on it, i am an A licience jumper with low jump numbers, and am looking at going into freefly in the near future In your opinion which do you prefer and why? *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
  15. This was discussed at the AGM in january when the new standardised route was brought in to earn your FF1, it is advisable you complete a portion of the FS before starting Freeflying but not vital to gain your FS1 *********************************** LittleDJ!!- There is no such thing as a perfectly good aircraft!!!
