If someone has no profile filled out its a red flag for scam .And even then i ran into a scam artist a couple years ago who had a super nice vector for sale for way to cheap .I contacted some people on the forums about the deal because the price was to low (to good to be true) .Found out they had stolen another reputable skydivers identity and user name account etc etc etc... Yea what strato said! I agree 110% ! I get so sick of seeing people that have virtually no experience , want to strap on a death cam to boot...... If they are jumping at a reputable dz,someone there would or should be taking them under their wing to guide them anyways. If i remember right ,that was a contact error with the lens. I know i had it before myself. I'd try a pencil eraser on the contacts just to be sure they are clean. I have 2 98 xaos 21's and love them openings are by far the best i've ever seen and they swoop like hell.I had about 50 or so jumps on a 108 1st and went a bit smaller . I have a wing loading of about 2.55 to 1 on these 98's.. Without proper profiles filled out jump numbers years in sport DZ locations etc etc ,people don't want to respond to these inquiries. IMO... Search the forums for your answers to your camera questions and you'll find lots anyways. Don't skimp on your equipment just buy one they aren't that expensive. Hell i have a bonehead d-box for that camera i can sell you.It can be top mounted or side mounted either way. I have a pc-120 with a lanc plug with a pin busted down inside it but i tried super glue on a needle to get it out to no avail. I have worked at a dz where this is the normal chain of events with the passenger. After opening loosen chest strap a bit ,loosen leg straps ,then slide leg straps forward to assist in the landing . It makes me nervous too guys but they have been doing it for thousands of jumps over the years. By the way the instructors i know that do this have nice stable exits too. As far as loosing a student go's that just an improper adjustment of the harness before boarding the plane IMO . Hopefully loosing a student never happens again ! I still charge for them ,but its at my discretion on pricing according to how much i work directly with them etc etc etc.. Pricing as far as a file go's i usually don't sell them the file ,it's mostly prints i do for them and i knock the price down to 10 or 15 bucks for that. But don't ever sell yourself short . Your worth a lot! I would pay my camera man if he has an awesome shot of me without hesitation . I get pretty excited if someone has a shot of me don't you? Remember your equipment isn't free, and neither are your services and knowledge that took years to learn.
