  1. Just found this pic and thought it was pretty awesome. Sorry Stu...
  2. There is wireless at the Bent Prop. Free. I'm not sure how the gym there works. I think you just ask manifest for a key or something. I go to this gym... http://www.trivalleyfitness.com/ There is also a LA Fitness in Casa Grande.
  3. HEY! I'm 5'8". Or at least I was before I started doing tandems.
  4. Hmm...maybe it has something to do with showing up 2 days late to our course in Oregon. Then after 3 months still not turning in any paperwork to USPA.
  5. It's gonna snow. Bring your mittens and long underwear. P.S. Wear a toga to register and you'll get a prize from Jeff Johnson.
  6. Wow. I can't tell if I think that's scary, funny, or maybe a little gay.
  7. I took some pics in RAW mode on my XTi and now realize they come up in CR2 format on my computer...My Adobe program won't open them and neither will the RAW shooters Essentials program I have. Am I just SOL or is there a way to get my Adobe to open these files. OR...maybe some other program I should be using???
  8. I believe Jason Cahill (sp?) will be coming to organize. Also, rumor has it that THE Darin Quaile will be making a fun jump. We're also hoping to work on a Oregon HD record, along with an Oregon Women's HD record. Plus lots of tracking dives.
  9. Sorry I meant the doors on the camera's breaking. Not the airplane door.
  10. The HC 3's 5's 7's are like carting around a football. The ones I've seen used for hand cam broke really quick and had problems with the doors.
  11. All of The Above Boogie!!! AUGUST 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. Ed P. from Lodi is coming for the Wingsuit stuff. Then from SVCO will be Scott, Stephanie and Jason to organize freeflying. I'm sure there's more and I'll update later. I hope everyone can make it!
  12. Does anyone that knows anything about hacking think that the photo bucket site will be fixed? And if so how soon?
  13. Wish I could be there...but our AFF course is that week.

  15. And the Platinum .2 from Royal is significantly wider than a black-eye. For hand cam I think it's the best way to go hands down.

http://www.nutrex-hawaii.com/mdformulas/jointastin.html This stuff works REALLY good. If you don't feel like ordering it...you could get any joint soothing glucosamine product at a GNC or Vitamin World type store.

  18. Do you think part of that falls on DZO's or Management allowing TI's to act that way? One DZ I work at, it is VERY clear to treat the students like a God. Don't work there if you don't wanna be that way. The other isn't nearly as extreme, but your still expected to great your student, chit chat, not sleep on the plane, thank them, go over future jumping possibilities. And when TI's aren't we're all sat down and reminded.
  19. Yes...everything is really well structured here. Everything on the video is what happens every jump. We run with a given number of TI's...all full time. Each TI has his/her own gear (rig, harness, goggles, glove, camera, editing station) so we don't deal with favorites and bullshit. Since 95% of our students are tourists, they are all picked up from their hotel by our van drivers. Once they arrive to the office they spend about an hour with our office people going over paperwork and questions. After they are ready (decided if they want to go to 8,10,12, or 14 and if they want to buy video ahead of time or wait to see it first) they come in to our room. We go jump and do our thing. When we get back us TI's go to our room and pack/edit at the same time. The students are waiting in the office where they can also see their video as we edit them. There are no packers here, so you pack for yourself always. That takes about 10-12 minutes, then the students are brought into our room again to decide if they want video, if they haven't already. If they buy they get it right then. Once we're done and they're happy they are taken back to their hotel. Then we do that all over again. Scheduled office arrival times of 650, 8, 920, 1040, 12, 120, 240 and 4. Some days we do 7-8 loads and some only 2-3.
  20. Hmm...I can't really say I hold my toggle very different. I do rotate my wrist forward a little bit to get a better shot and I always try to be in a little bit of break with my left hand. I think being very conscious of your camera hand helps ALOT. Usually when you are landing that's what you are thinking about. But, if you can manage to be aware of where your camera is and "make" yourself keep it where you want...you'll eventually learn how to land with it feeling natural. I also try to flare and turn pushing forward to keep from filming the side of my body or rig...having smaller parachutes with super light toggle pressure makes it easier to hold my hand however I want.
  21. Are the new Sigma and Sigma Micro's coming with or w/out the straight pin on the RSL? I ask because we have 6 Sigma Micro's that are probably 1 year old or less. They all came with NO pin on the RSL (and no velcro) it simply folded and tucked into a keeper. Now there is a rig that just arrived that HAS the straight pin on the RSL and is enclosed with Velcro (just like the old style minus the ball). Does anyone know why they went back to the velcro and pin?
  22. Yes. You could have got it, then sold it for $!
  23. Black shorts and grey shirt (uniform). Extra drag on your arms makes hand cam footage look shaky, which we do on 95% of our jumps. It's too hot here for pants. If I'm jumping somewhere that's cold I'll wear my FF pants and a long sleeve shirt, but prefer shorts and t-shirt.
