    Good thinking. That'll teach 'em.

I just get overly excited sometimes to where I miss the obvious. Thanks.

    What if they aren't Christians?
  4. Where was the good girl with a knife? It's not an Indiana Jones movie, right? Gun beats knife but so does Taser and Karate.
  5. Worse that that, I'm here in the Virgin Islands where the vaseline won't melt. Folks here are begging for a little global warming.
  6. Thank god for Republican policies protecting girls and women. Girls being lesser creatures and more disposable, mind you. https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2021/04/21/tennessee-women-receiving-surgical-abortion-required-bury-fetal-remains/7283361002/ Tell the truth, are you being paid to debase yourself here?
  7. Look at me! Look at me! Mommmmm!!!!! Look at me!
  8. Capital idea. Thanks, I will.
  9. Your hair trigger needs a trim. We as in societal we. Not we as if we interviewed his sorry ass. As a society we hired him and others like him and, best I can tell, they all passed the interview with flying colors. If we don't want cops like him we need to fire HR and set up new criteria.
  10. Excellent point. Let's give him a pass.
  11. That's fine but I also hope it gets reduced. The thing is that like it or not Chauvin was just being a cop. We've all known, those being harassed and killed by cops and we who aren't, that cops needed to be controlled but we did nothing. So we own it, too.
  12. I wasn't offering a bet. I was pointing out what might be a best way forward.
  13. So Dantes first circle and not the ninth?
  14. Yep. But a day or 8 years doesn't mean he wont leave alive. That's just your add on.
  15. Time for you to cast off your training wheels and go the Candace Owens route I'm thinking. Why abuse yourself for free?
  16. Who knows, man, but how does that address the larger point?
  17. The least he can get is 12.5 years sentences to run concurrently. In Minnesota he'll serve 2/3rds before being eligible for parole. Without focusing on right or wrong we need to understand this is new ground. This is societal change underway. In a very real sense this is baby step number one. I hope the judge tosses the police a bone at a time they must know the past is no longer prologue.
  18. It might have been but like when the ice cream truck hits the school bus the story isn't about creamsicles anymore. That's why again, Brent, the story is about you; outrageous, contrarian, attention craving, whatever it takes to ripple the pond you.
  19. I love mail in voting and it's only partly tongue in cheek having a tax penalty for not voting. As far as inspired community activism goes, what a great way to start exciting neighborhood conversations, right? So that thing is Bob, and it's not about your dog shitting on my lawn you see, it's just that I need to know you voted before I do my civic duty and call the IRS on you. Are you and Maureen coming to the BBQ Saturday?
  20. I completely disagree. It should be encouraged vigorously at the federal level for every federal election and backed up by inspired community activism. For example, everyone who fails to vote or lives next door to someone who fails to vote should be audited by the IRS. That sort of thing.
  21. I'm just freaked out that I might get short plated on fajita day.
  22. That I agree with. But the thing is that Keith is simply recognizing that here in America we have the second amendment as interpreted by our Supreme Court. No solution is worth talking about if it lay's outside the confines of that reality. I, for one, think the whole gun craze in America, is simply ridiculous especially this nonsense with AR-15's and safety less hand guns like Glocks. But I am not ready to give up my guns. I don't think my shotguns are a danger to much more than woodpeckers and gophers. Also, I like the idea of a home defense shotgun. I believe if the fringes on both sides would just accept some common sense changes that recognize it's not an all or nothing proposition we can get to a better place. Beating the same drum won't help.
  23. Nope. But it's often the source of your first ass whooping in life.

    covid-19

That's fantastic. Tomorrow I am one month post my second Pfizer shot. I'm not cavalier about anything but it's been a joy to be able to have pretty normal dinners with others who are fully vaccinated. The best bit by far was when my favorite niece told her two daughters to give me a hug when I was home. The things you take for granted.
