  1. We dropped a couple good size pumpkin's this year and they were fairly large. I was on the ground and they left holding the pumpkin and when at terminal released it. One of the expert freefly instructor went heads down and just caught up to it at breakoff. The best was we cut the top out, hollowed out enough for 2 smoke canisters, cut small hole in side for the smoke canister string, insert canister and tape top back on with duct tape. It was very visable from the ground. My guess is that it would have to be a very small pumpkin to be able to belly fly with.
  2. I bought a really nice Talon, pd-210, swift+175 on ebay last year. Very nice but harness didnt fit right and decided to sell it on ebay, which is something I have done lots of. Well got lots of bids but did not get to reserve price that I had on it but one fellow in I think Washington? offered to buy it from me after the auction had closed. I got a offer of about 100 less than I paid so we agreed to the deal. The only problem is that He e-mailed me saying that 6 different people were trying to sell him the same rig as mine, right down to the pictures. This would be easy to do as all they did was copy the pics from ebay and e-mail the bidders on the bid list. I assured him that It was my rig and had it in my possesion. He paid me through paypal and I got tracking # so he could track it. Also I had 100+ positive feedback from e-bay so that helped. So be careful out there as their are people trying this all the time.

  6. I got my triathlon 190 (500 jumps) with a new line set from Aerodyne, has the same modification to it. The previous owner said it was to give it a better landing flare? Seems to work ok although I dont know how it was before. I have no trouble landing it in any conditions.
  7. Do you stow your toggles when you have landed? It is possible if you let them dangle that one of the steering lines could have more twists in it than the other. Over a couple of jumps this could lead to one side becoming much shorter than the other side, sounds like this could be the problem since it was ok before.

  13. Took the IAD course at Skydive South Sask and I thought that would be it. I knew I had to do it again and again! Everyone there has helped me in one way or another and they want you to keep coming back, even problem student's like me. Just want to say thanks to Mark and all the gang and would recommend this DZ to anyone looking to have some serious fun. I cant wait to get back up there this spring and continue my training!
  14. I had similar problems. My first solo pull was on jump #10. I had problems with de-arch on practice pulls and finally got 2 good ones in. On my first pull I left the strut and went for pull as this is all I could think about. I had a mess above me with 3 or 4 twists, collapsed end cells, but got them fixed and landed fine. I de-arched off the strut and pulled in a spin. My instructor said to try again and this time to do it just like practice pull, you have lots of time. The next jump I had a good solid arch off the plane and the pull was great. Keep trying and I know this sounds easy, but do a good count and hold your arch and keep eyes on plane all the way through your pull. It will give you great confidence when you do your first pull!
