What's ur weirdest skydiving dream?
yoink replied to xavenger's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have a sneaking suspicion that yoink alone has eaten at least 6 kilos of stilton, which I have it on good authority is the normal dose required to dream of skydiving, cigar smoking babies that bounce :-/ "Put the cheese down and step out of the vehicle" cheese dreams are trippy man, but that one was an all time winner! -
need to sleep tonight AGM in the morning hangover beckons.

always carry a couple of spare pairs in your rig bag... The day you don't will be the day you lose one and have to try and drive home.

yup, me and BethUK and another mate will be arriving about 10.45 hopefully. Will

What's ur weirdest skydiving dream?

OK.. had a completely bizzarre one last night... Was in my front garden and look up to see parachutes... apparently there is a DZ in the field behind my house that I've never noticed before! Anway, one of these chutes is a streamer and just keeps coming closer and closer - Finally, I can see it's a baby skydiver whose arms are too short to reach the reserve handle. The poor wee fella bounces about 6 feet away, stands up, lights a cigar and climbs over the wall into the DZ.... like I said. Bizzarre! I blame watching Good Stuff and the boogie pimps video before I went to bed last night... -
Most beer is good if you're in the right mood, but probably my absolute fave is an ale called Spitfire. Brewed in Kent in the UK - a small time brewary, but fantastic...

this takes the piss... finally we've got a team that are world champions, and they can't compete 'cos there's no money!!! Talk about an uphill struggle...

Hey, I'm another 'METAL MONKEY!!' "That's how talented, creative and generous monkeys usually are....." I like this site >People ruled by the Metal element can be highly unreasonable, inflexible and stubborn at times. They are self-reliant and are apt to sort out problems on their own. >Their strong monetary instincts will effectively support their tastes for luxury and power. [manicial laugh] Ahhhhh hha hah hahahah!! RULE THE WORLD I TELLS YA!!! [/maniacal laugh]

lack of options... If I want to jump here, then I have to renew it.. just cos I have to, doesn't mean I have to like it as well... a couple of trips to Sweden or Empuria would be cool, but it'd soon mount up to cost more than the membership fee...

NAH!!!! "Bull" or "Weelo" are by far the best: Weebl: You're not my father!! Bob: Yes he is... Weebl: Blimey... What's my mum been up to?

I wonder if there's any available infomation about what stats the insurers base their premium on? I'd like to see a breakdown of why it's so expensive...
-
this is rediculous... that increased increased insurance will probably affect dz's too which'll have to hike up their prices to compensate... It's just going to be prohibitively expensive to jump here. Can you imagine many student's completing a S/L course if it's £35 and above for a jump! Nut's to it. Always wanted to see what Sweden was like. Jumping abroad is the way forward... Will

TSA letter when traveling with a rig?
yoink replied to KolinskyDC's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There's some good advice about carrying rigs onto planes on the BCPA home page: Under AAD's and Airports. BCPA Website Also we managed to get the CAA to write a letter explaining that a Cypres is exempt from any Transport of Dangerous Goods regulations. Anyone travelling with a rig in the UK might want to dowload a copy... Blues Will -
lol....

I second that v. cool sentiment... especially the F-18 ride
-
... glad everyone's OK...
-
Demo them both... I've got a Sabre that opens beautifully every time and I've been bitten by a Spectre... It depends upon the canopy IMO. Try before you buy....
