  1. >> Get well soon. JM Hispas Brothers President HISPA #2,
  2. Welcome Michelle, Yes, the most important is for you to find out whether you WANT to do it. Then, talking to other people at the DZ, and here at DZ.com will give you a lot of first impressions. Yes I was scared beyond anything I could describe. Yes, we all do at the begining. Hey who wouldn't except a liar I agree that a tandem is the best way to go, in this case. Not only is the safest way to do it, it will also enable you to relax and enjoy the ride, knowing that you have an experienced instructor strapped to you. But as it was said earlier, beware of the bug, it bites us on the first jump, we get addicted and never leave the sport . Keep posting, ask any questions that you may have. There is no such thing as a stupid question except for the ones we never ask.
  3. As a customer, I believe that no matter what our level of experience is, it is safer to have the main inspected by a rigger from time to time. I know what I am doing but having someone checking it over is a plus. And of course, I happily pay the fee. Hispas Brothers President HISPA #2,

  9. Thanks for having clarified that Slut. I, for sure, have really misread your thoughts and was surprised that a fellow diver would say something like that. Seems I owe you an apology as well on that. If we ever met one day, remind me that your beer is on me that day. I believe you have a point there. Like I said previously I am not an instructor, I recognize that it sure is difficult to correctly talk a student down, without hurting someone's feelings. But as you said, in our hobby, safety is a must and will always have to come first. JM Hispas Brothers President HISPA #2,

  13. I am not a JM, but when I started jumping, SL was the most common way to do a 1st jump and training. I've seen many times people going down with the plane. And, yes, as others have said already, it takes big balls to say no and deal with the others and moreover with themselves after landing. I don't think she'll be back either. But if anybody sees her, make sure this person tells her that it's all right. There's no shame in saying no, quite the opposite. JM Hispas Brothers President HISPA #2,

  22. Hi Ted, I never met Pops, but since joining DZ.com I've heard of him. All I can say is that I dearly miss not having had the privilege to meet him. We are from all over the world, united by our common passion. As such we are a huge family. We miss our "brother", but somehow when we are up in the sky, his souls is joining us. He now lives forever in our blue playground. My prayers and those of my family go to you and your family. *Hugs* JM Hispas Brothers President HISPA #2,
