HOW THE HELL is it a complete kit, if you still need to provide are engine/tranny rear end (wtf) wheels and tyres. in my world complete me COMPLETE in it's entirety It also states COMLPETE Fuel system....but you have to supply the fuel pump LIES DAMNED LIES I TELL YA thats why i like the car...i get to choose, and personally build, the drive train. it usually takes about 30 k to do this car right, and i dont mind scratching and dinging a 30k car...or even breaking it it half....with a car upwards of 200k, i would rather invest in gold, and let it sit in a safe. oh, i agree...its just that the experience level may have forced him into a "target fixation" decision. as in, like, "thats it, thats the only way..." i have come in so high i actually do a slight stall, drop the nose, and swooped it in to hit a dirt road....but again, i know my wing very well. not something to do if you dont really know your aircraft. but, i have no idea on the experience level of this pilot with this aircraft. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?

maybe being unfamiliar withe the glide ratio under engine out situations made his decision to go for a longer beach, rather that the airport? as in..."if i go long, at least i still have flat sand to land on, not houses?" just a thought. flying a weight shift trike...i land probably 30% of the time full engine off...but then again, i know my trike, and at only 300 lbs, i can do more at the "last minute." ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?
