  1. Spice up your co-worker's day! See the pics:
  2. i once heard that you can "find perfection in the acceptance that things are imperfect." ...or some psycho-babble crap like that.
  3. The pic you have with your name is pretty photogenic
  4. for your viewing pleasure. sorry if you saw them already!
  5. but be careful out there!... (no bad ju-ju intended, just happened to have this in my pic files...)

    Don't hate

i just bought a new full suspension mountain bike. does that count? (((thinking of all the jump tix that just was...))) edit: typo
  7. very nice. but i'm not "allowed" to have one. one dangerous sport at a time i am told.
  8. ...I can relate. I have Ancient Chinese Disease ("draggin-ass") today myself. But I have to get my dancin shoes on as I have a sales call at 2. Bleck.
  9. (((good vibes))) sorry to hear that . hope things look up soon.
  10. Ah, are you a virgo I assume? Me too. I have to say my self-esteem is all kosher, but we virgos are a little too much the perfectionist type and can be too hard on ourselves compared to the next person I believe. Don't sweat it so much, and just blame your birth-sign! Cheers!
  11. WOW. I thought the only luck I had was BAD luck! You too?!? How did Z-hills go? All good? DO tell!!
  12. wow. i am pleasantly surprised (for no particular reason) that i am in the majority of the voters (you sometimes get a myopic view of "your little world" in your home town...good to see i am in the flow of the world's thought process...)
  13. actually, gas IS cheaper than it was in the 80s when adjusted for inflation. gas averaged $2.78/gal in 1980 (when inflation is considered).
  14. I second the wow. I have been off this site since last summer, and this is the first thread I see? Wow. And I was really getting stoked on the season coming in. Never thought you could actually jump out of a plane and be so disgruntled too. That first jump for me changed much more in me than just the definition of gravity. There is just so much more...
  15. I met a guy from up north, Brooklyn I think...I loved his accent...it was like butta! ah yes, butta the biscuits baby! ok, now where's my glass uh wutta...
  16. german or austrian is my fave, followed close by an english accent. anyone go for a philly accent, eh?, o? bada-bing?
  17. this is the 10th time i saw this pic on here this morning! its like in 2 other threads! wtf?
  18. yeah, exit order i meant... one area i visited, people were just jumping on an otter and not a word between them. maybe they are all locals and know whats what, but i remember people moving around the plane on the exits more than once. i'm not shy, and spoke up every time i got on, but it certainly wasn't a warm experience...
  19. i HATE to say it, as i am at the point of "picking up what other belly-jumpers are puttin' down" (aka: really doing well in RW lately), but i LOVE jumping solo (STILL?). i am not sure if it will ever fade, but i look at a solo jump like a workout at the gym... a stress reliever. at my stage of jumping, relative work formations and other types of jumps are a little more "stressful" in that there is a goal to be achieved. not that i am disinclined to increase my skills in skydiving, but i simply love jumping sometimes in solitude. i did many solo jumps in between my coached jumps. every one was valuable. i had 25 jumps on hand before my "A" (not that that matters, but i wouldn't change a thing!). i would do a solo, then maybe a coached jump, then another solo. you just can't go wrong enjoying the freefall for the fun - or better yet - the surreal aspect of it all! i jump ever single time i have the oppurtunity to, whether or not i am fortunate enough to drop with another more experienced jumper. i may not pick up a "needed skill", but i certainly am enriched every single time i jump, and that itself is "priceless" as the tv commercial goes...
  20. ...make sure your gear is checked out on that... i posted a freeflying ? the other day about my less than friendly FF gear. don't get spanked...
  21. ...my a$$, RIGHT? P.S.: good luck haha!
  22. The first part is total BS. The food hypothesis is more reasonable. I'd say delayed response to stress is most likely explanation. ditto
  23. 1. safety (it should be on the list: i recently visited one of the most popular in the country and it sucks on safety (absolutely ZERO load organization by staff and even local jumpers) compared to my little DZ (in my 'newbie' opinion, which, in my less experienced voice, matters a lot i should in this high turnover sport)) 1(b). friendliness 2. aircraft 3. location
