I remember a keys boogie 2 years ago where there was so much rain the weeks prior, that more than half the landing area was under water. The more I read and hear about this, the more I'm bummed I am missing it this go round - but I imagine 2 weeks in Hawii will be adequately fun Someone has to buy a bottle of Mandrin and share it with the crowd at the BBQ.........blues Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

I got on about 2 nights ago and it is FUN AS HELL! Sorta weird when you first start playing around but beats sitting and watching tv. Go check it out for sure....I'm still trying to sort out how to get my first cyber kiss Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

ANYONE in that area needs to figure something out......it is nothing to mess with. Your LIFE is worth more than worrying about cash right now. I can not begin to say how horrible this will be. I only dealt with a Cat. 3 and despite having a brick home with boarded up windws, I lost half my roof, so had rain for 33 hours inside my home. I was without power for 11 days and you forget what THAT means......no voice to the outside world UNLESS you have batteries and a radio.....no water to flush toilets and no ice for cold drinks in this crazy heat....Curphews so you can't leave your homes (or whatever is left of them). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..............Sometimes you just can't fatham something like this assuming it can not possibly affect you. But now having gone through it first hand...figure it out people. Stop reading this and get to a sfr place....That entire part of the region is in my prayers! Be strong, be prepared! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Some of you may recall what I went through LAST YEAR when the hurricanes came through.....I lost everything with only a Cat. 3 storm. So my heart has continued to fall when I see the new projected path of this storm, heading Louisiana/Mississippi way, knowing the destruction it will cause. Everyone is in my prayers and if you are sitting some where to see this, and are near that "projected path" - please PLEASE start making preps to get the hell out of there NOW (took me 17 hours to travel 6 hours when we evacuated almost 2 days prior). GET OUT - If for no other reason than the emotional duress you could potential experience as you watch things crumble around you. Be safe everyone, I've got room for a handful in FL if you want to venture this way and I think I can speak for many saying we will ALL be here for you when it is said and done. WOW-WEE.......I almost feel like I might be missed.....THAT IS TOTALLY FREAKIN AWESOME (even if it is only in my head ) but I promise to come and visit soon after with my deep dark savage Hawaiian tan if you want - we can talk altitude then or you and your woman can come for that promised visit...and bring the Drennans with you too....Sounds like a fun ass house party starting to me. so can like maybe one or seven of you drunk dial me a night.......I will be on some shoreline running along the Maui Coast having just as much fun as you all I'm sure , and if I get lucky and sucker in a local fine ass Hawaiin boy to tool around with....well.......I will still miss everyone in Thomaston........for 5 or 10 minutes at least! Holy last minute request Batman......... Anyone going to be near Midway, heading back to Skydive Chicago around 9pm tomorrow? Fly in on Southwest at 920p - and have a ride but it doesn't come until another little sweetness flies in.....at 11:50pm (gulp) I don't mind sitting at the bar waiting but figured I'd ask just in case. Actually I'll prolly wanna just head to the hotel and I don't even remember which one it is

Bruno was an amazing friend who never failed to make me smile.....from our constant bump ins and BIG HUGS as we both traveled the circuit, to our laughs about both being "jump whores" because of our simple love of being in the air. We seemed to be on the same track, jumpwise, skillwise and in our canopy progression. I have some amazing footage from the Keys Boogie last year that I will now treasure for many years to come for it symbolizes all I remember about my friend........"It's All About The Mandrin". If you have a chance to get your hands on Dano's DVD from Keys Boogie 2004 check it out for sure. Or stop by the Sebastian website under events because they've got some of the footage posted. Keys plane crash victims ID'd Associated Press Posted August 1 2005, 1:00 PM EDT KEY WEST -- The Coast Guard released the names Monday of four people aboard a small plane that crashed into the waters off the Florida Keys as the search continued for the two who remain missing. The bodies of the other two have been found. The Cessna 172, rented from a Melbourne leasing company, was piloted by Crystal Cook, said Coast Guard spokesman Dana Warr. The passengers were identified as Igan Sussman, Bruno Assman and Pierce Littleford. No ages or other details about the group was immediately available, although the plane was headed from the Keys to New Smryna Beach when it crashed Saturday night, according to a flight plan filed with the Federal Aviation Administration. The bodies of Sussman and one other male passenger have been recovered, Warr said. The Coast Guard and other agencies continued looking Monday for the other two. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff Saturday night from Key West International Airport. Rescue efforts, however, did not begin until Sunday morning because initial reports from local witnesses that a plane might have crashed were attributed to loud sounds from a lightning storm. Thank you for sharing Michael - it sounded like a beautiful way to celebrate her life and say goodbye so that the true healing can begin. A group of us in Florida, joined Ron's family and friends on Saturday despite dealing with some pre-hurricane Dennis weather to celebrate his life. It was quite fitting that as his skydiving family arrived, so did he. His ashes arrived as we were greeting his mom and dad and it is a moment I will hold in my heart forever. Just like Ron to "arrive with the party" so to speak. The moment made it's mark on all of us. He came home with us Saturday, and we soon will return him to the sky over Zhills, where I know without a doubt he was happy. We spent the day sharing stories of Ron, looking at pictures, watching old home movies...all of which had us laughing, crying and wishing he was here for just a bit longer so we could bust his chops with the newest information we had gathered on him. It is special memories like those that I will hold with me until the tears subside and the happy memories are what fill my thoughts. I feel blessed to have had the time with his family and can't thank them enough for opening there home and hearts to us. It was something we all needed and I hope they know they will always be a part of our lives now..... People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime......I just feel fortunate that they both touch my life and will now live in my memory for a lifetime. I won't ever forget and look forward to the skies clearing so I can fly my canopy and talk to Ron. I can't wait to razz him about his mom frosting his hair . And be prepared to see some of the GIRLS fly into the demo next year................we'll send our video qualifications to Joey in advance so we get equal time. There is nothing better than hearing a crowd like that cheer as everyone was coming in...and then again as we were walking out Katie, Brandy, me and maybe even EJ if she jumps her cute little bootie off until then Can't wait to see the DVD Tom comes up with of this event. I wasn't really sure how or even if I should post about this since it has touched very close to my own heart. It's not the first death I have dealt with in my 2 year skydiving adventure but certainly one that has been closer than any other. I had become very close to Ron since earlier this year and your words made me smile for the first time in 48 hours - thank you - thank you for helping me remember his kind-hearted yet ball-busting nature. I went through some video last night and found a great jump where he clunked his head on the skyvan door on exit, so we got to bust his chops a bit. We laughed about it in freefall and then again on the ground and it was a jump we landed off together due to crazy winds. I took my helmet off and clipped it to my chest strap, forgetting to shut off the camera, and now have some awesome audio of him preaching to me about never giving up on a dive. We had been doing a simple 3-way headdown with go arounds (a first for me) and I could not get back to my slot.....I gave up trying and he warned me not to do it again - then went on to say what a great jump it was otherwise! Ron was a special friend with a smile that touched deep in side my heart. He will not be soon forgotten.....here are a few smiles I had with him not long ago......Blues my friend ~ Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Can someone please make sure to post asap, when we hear anything about services for Ron and Sara. My sister just called and reminded me of a funny story about Ron when we visited her a few months ago.......he couldn't keep his hands out of the peanuts and kept moving it away but 2 minutes later he'd be reaching across the table to get to them again

GREAT WEEKEND for sure.......Had some airline crap to deal with in getting home but it was worth it. It is 2:36 am, I'm just walking in and probably shoulda skipped that last red bull. I'm wired now..... Had a touch of bad news as the weekend wrapped up so red bull was necessary - too bad I couldn't find any mandrin... Great friends, great fun, great dropzone!
