WOW - cheap jump weekend AND hillbilly music - I can deal me with some of that there hill billy music .....should I bring hat and boots? Hey gang....I don't play on the forums much anymore but saw this one today. I got certified the end of March and have TRIED to put together a dive with some of my classmates since then but nothing comes together. I need to get in the water before I forget it all and some calm lake/river might be fun. Last check out dive in the ocean was in 7 - 10 foot seas and not a great experience (once we were done and back on the boat ) but I need someone/people who will be patient because I will be a total "follow the steps" I'm sure.....safety first ya know. I'm speaking for Travis......We'd love to share some of the costs. Travis and I are getting in Wednesday at 5pm so if you're flight is around the same time - you've got a ride (as long as you don't pack like a girl going on Spring Break or something )! We ARE staying at the Marriott and luckily got that $79 a night thing (except for Wed - have to pay full price). Got a room with 2 beds, so I guess we could share with 1 or 2 more other people (should discuss that with Travis first - Hey Trav - whatcha think) but I'm game with getting costs down as much as possible BUT also want to get good sleep. It IS competition afterall - plus - not sure who is cool with sharing bed space with who but as for me, don't bother me none as long as you stay on your half and don't snore. So there is more info for ya. Travis and I are leaving Monday morning at 9:15am. That would be the only snaf-foo. So talk to me B.......publically or privately . Thanks Shim.......I try and be positive about all things and even though I know I wasn't real competition this year, it didn't stop me from giving it my all.....or talking to others about how great the CPC is if you truly want to start swooping competitively. Everyone has to start from somewhere, I remember the early Shimmel and V and Ian days.......and I've learned tons THANKS to you all.....so I am here for the haul and this will not be my last year competing - promise! Not only has it been a great learning experience but I have had TONS of fun and THAT is what it is all about!!! I'm working it, I'm working it....... Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Can we please make special mention of the lovely winds we once again got to deal with .....I don't think we had anything under 10 but I know it got pretty close to the cutoff a few times......But hey, good to learn in all sorts of conditions right? WOW.......Thanks for the special mention Chris. It was an ABSOLUTE BLAST this year and I am so excited to have finally been a part of it all! From setting up courses to watching all the guys do there thing - I have learned TONS! My Katana has also been a great tool to learn on. I'm still learning the wing and learning in general so it's still "game on" for me. I'm looking forward to seeing what all the regions have to offer and HOPING more girls come out to play. The Championships are my end to the season since I have wanted to see this first year right through to the end since I started, no matter what my placing was....Gotta play in order to learn right? But I have got to say, I am very anxious for next year - and I can only hope I am a little more of a "threat" in 2007.........It is going to ROCK! Thanks again to EVERYONE for ALL the support along the way - just another reason I love this sport so much. Smiles, hugs and fly safe until next time

Hmmmm, I've been traveling so much it seems rare I am around Sebastian anymore but I know Jim and the one time Eastside kids so perhaps we have met, but if not, I might see ya sooner than later and you can show me your flying abilities in person. Maybe July 8th or so. Only problem is I've wanted to see the area and not just the DZ Keep flying that Katana and making PD and us non-cross braced folks inspired. Congrats again Brad - you are turning into my inspiration that it CAN be done on the Katana 107 . You guys are getting so lucky out there also with your weather conditions. Try dealing with a rather steady 14mph crosswind that liked to gust in the low 20's sporadically.....not a great last comp for us but at least someone, somewhere is having luck with the weather Gods. Ah heck - it's all a good learning experience but I freakin hate goose eggs! I think I might have to research coming to play out that way, just for the hell of it.
