Let's just say the weather didn't really cooperate and several people bailed prior so only 3 people showed, other than the locals who braved the cold. Sunday was really the only day the winds were "OK" enough to make jumps and even then, I made 2 and decided it wasn't worth the risk. Pretty turbulent. BUT we did have lots of great ground time with Jim who looks GREAT for what he went through just last month. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Yikees - wasn't trying to take anything away from anyone and I LOVE the fact that they are there providing us with memories to remember the events, so please don't take them away. I know all about camera costs, used to be a camera junkie myself.......... Maybe the problem is now I just like to look at myself too much and I want all the pictures I'm in . Thanks for all the info gang......actually I sorta knew there might be snow in the Seqioua area but I am game for it. I DO live in FL so don't get to see it much. Even considered the whole snow shoe thing - could be fun......but I do NOT want to have to deal with chains and all that BS. DId that in Tahoe not long ago where a nice pretty snow nearly stranded us and a million others on the road. Missed my flight home.......ugh....... Did you say "play in the mud"? OOOO, that sounds like TOO MUCH fun , gotta take someone along for that adventure We'll see what happens, I just want to do some other fun stuff while I am out there since I've been there like 5 times now and have not seen much past the road from Ontario to DZ in Perris. Thinking about visiting Elsinore on Sunday, weather permitting. Anyone gonna be around to do some freeflying? I almost thought I was going to have to scold a few people for hi-jacking my thread but it got under control......lucky for you guys! Hi all..........I have a little trip planned out to CA coming up and although I will be staying between Perris and Elsinore, I wasn't really sure I would spend the entire time jumping. I really want to do a little exploring while I'm there this time and was wondering if anyone wanted to come along. I REALLY want to make the drive to Sequoia Nat'l Forest and see some of those big bad ass trees and I want to maybe hike around San Jacinto mtns if it isn't totally freezing. So - any takers? Any suggestions on stuff to do while I'm there? I'd also love to check out a real vineyard since I'm just becoming a bit of a "wine-o" Talk to me kids..............I fly in late 3/31 and head back out 4/6 Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Still anxiously waiting for Chris to post the scores and all the pics that were being snapped this weekend. Everyone did really well (16 competitors) and we had a nice safe comp, despite the lovely winds we got to deal with all day long. Went on two wind holds and not even an approaching sunset brought us any slack so zone accuracy was interesting. It was great to listen and absorb all that Jay M. had to share with us throughout the day also. Me being newer to swooping, I'm almost not sure what questions to ask but I listen to it all and see what I can work into my game plan. Baby steps! Tom and Keith are still up there in the Top 3. HEY PAPA.............long time no chat. I was soaking in the tub last night thinking about all the pals I have not seen in WAY TOO LONG. Oh now this just made my day...........someone is actually thinking about me . I peak around here now and again but haven't done much posting. Just quietly watching in the distance. I still have a mad passion for skydiving and Shimmel is correct, have been focusing a bit more on the canopy stuff..........Hurricanes thru me for a loop the last few years so I have NOT hit 1,000 yet despite my mad pace in the early days but I am currently 17 jumps away....yippy! Well I have told everyone for the last year or so, while I watched anxiously from the sidelines, that 2006 was my year to start it up for me. So I'd love to be added to the list and my newbie butt will come and try to make my mark. I will start looking for flights now. I remember the early days (ho-hum), watching the Shimmels and the Ian's of the swoop tour work there way up the ranks. I'm so proud and very excited to now almost be a part of it. Hey Katie.....I'm am so excited to think you and I will sorta be starting how our boys did a few years ago.....although I have yet to complete in anything like you have. I'm all for practice runs on Friday if you guys can come early.....It is really cool to look back at that very first CPC meet and all the guys who were in it, and where they are today. I won't start naming names but I'm very proud of a whole handful. I can only hope you and I have the same support system they all did but I know for a fact your Pro Qualified hottie husband with the cutest feet ever always has our best interest at hand. I look forward to seeing the familiar faces at Lake Wales. I'm also actually itching to travel to GA for a visit so keep me posted if you plan to "swoop a guest spot" some where in that neck of the woods.
