  1. oh man............shucks.................I'm so feeling the love KNOCK IT OFF GUYS - YOU'RE ALMOST MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A SEMI-EMOTIONAL GIRL Seriously - thanks to everyone for the support, today and so far this season. It's once again proving to be some of the highlights in my year. Sometimes challenging, sometimes disappointing but all and all, there isn't much better than hanging out with your friends for an entire weekend and continuing to learn from them and by experience. Good stuff! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  2. I wonder if I can get stars put in my zone acc runs so people know I didn't just not score, I wasn't there to even try and score ...I know, I know....now I'm getting picky. It just kicks me in the ass that because of that, or potentially because of that, I finished my first comp this year LAST when my only real goal for the year has been to NOT finish last......ok - just venting.....But then again, should I feel ok about my placing seeing as how I DID afterall beat a "PRO".....ha ha ha....Love ya Curt! See ya in Deland! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  3. So has anyone seen or do you know the final scores for the meet? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  4. Just trying to "spread the love"......been watching for flights daily. Southwest just opened there flights up through September so I got a roundtrip ticket from FL, non stop for $218. Go check it out if you are heading to the CPC or ProAm Event. Good luck! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  5. Brian and Craig are kicking serious butt so far.......the top 10 is actually a close race and everyone is doing really good. The meets this year have such a great vibe - one big family, everyone busting balls and cheering each other on. I love it! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  6. I'm coming back to play for the weekend. So I know I will be utilizing those fabulous little cessnas to practice my swoopy swoop....I'll happily sit and watch all the crazy night jumpers......Should get into town around 3 on Friday - hope we can make a few hop and pop loads then.....See everyone soon! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  7. Also as an FYI....I've called the Holiday Inn Express and they are booked solid for that weekend. Country Hearth is also filling up according to the reservation desk.... soooooo if anyone needs a room, you might want to start thinking about it now. You know me - I've got a room and am willing to share the space and the cost - first come, first serve. See you guys there! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  8. Hey Chuck....sorry I missed ya but it was great to see your hottie wife I thought Aaron actually had a good meet, as did lots of the guys. For him, I think it might have been a little snaffoo after the speed course closure and then some play on the pond (which was set up for Zone Acc) might have affected the big picture ........ For me - the lone girl in the bunch, I had one of my best meets to date, scoring in 4 of the 6 rounds and having a video review on the 5th but not quite making it (still learning how to deal with those stiff cross winds ) but I was there, representing for the girls. I might not be super fast yet and I might not get long distances but I am getting better at hitting those gates I'll tell ya, I think the Southeast Region is going to once again have a KICK ASS representation at the Championships in Colorado. For now, can't wait to see everyone again at The Farm in a few weeks! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  9. Hey gang,,,,,,I have a room Saturday night at the Super8 if anyone wants to share it. Gregg & his girl had to bail due to family emergency. Just letting you know. See you Saturday morning.....ready to play! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  10. Scores will be posted shortly but to share the good news from our region, once again we had 24 competitors show up to play in the winds at Sebastian. It was a GREAT turnout and despite the challenging conditions, we completed all 6 rounds withOUT one injury. Here are the Top 3: 1st - Adrian Hart (Titusville) 2nd - Craig ? (Gold Coast) 3rd - Jairo Garcia (Palatka) Congrats to everyone who participated, thanks to all the judges, and thanks to the photographers (Jj and Roy). Make sure to check Jason Jerusalem's website in the next week to see some of the awesome shots I know he got. He's got an eye to catch the "out of the ordinary"....SWEET! Round #2 of the SE CPC - once again a good time and now we work towards Zhills next month. See everone then! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  11. Oh Poop......I have so much "stuff" going on the next few months. I seem to be missing all the parties but I'll be at The Farm soon enough - May 4 & 5th I believe Have fun and be safe everyone! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  12. Yeah well I am dealing with skydivers here - I am clueless as to who might actually show up other than me and Mike from NY. Hope you and Jeff get to come down...hope all the boys from Gold Coast come back.....I hope we have a whole freakin Otter full of swoopers again but with room for Chris this time ........I'm heading over tomorrow afternoon - to either jump or watch the wind blow and get some sun. Either way - I'll be there! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  13. So when with the FASTTRAX SWOOP TEAM be there? You know I love the Fasttrax Team....love love love.....They are good for mental notes too. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  14. Now there is nothing wrong with being beat by a girl....in fact, I bet plenty of people would even agree with me yeah well anyway....since not many of the Atlanta boys came to play at the first CPC - maybe it is an issue.....Wonder if they are skeered of girls too Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  15. .....oops Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  16. Hi gang...just wondering who might be planning to come out and practice on Friday 3/23? Actually just curious to know how many of the 25 from Lake Wales are planning to come.....(I know, I know.....I can't just wait and be surprised......I want to know now ) Also as an FYI and/or heads up, I heard something about a "Casino Night" Saturday with prizes. Incase you still have tons of energy after swooping out little butts off all day....... OK - talk to me kids. Who's coming to play Friday and who is juss showing up Saturday AM? Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend regardless. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  17. Yes sir - I will arrive Friday around 12:30, all day Saturday and Sunday. See you then! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  18. Are you doing that sign up thing again with deposits? I'm in...I'm in! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  19. Oh stop tooting your horn you big bundle of wing loading! Where are the gosh darn pictures from the event? Are we going to be waiting months to see stuff again? Do camera men cave to peer pressure with trash talk Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  20. How long until Roy is going to get some stills up for us to see? Hope we have the same awesome turnout for Sebastian. I got sleeping space if anyone doesn't mind a 45 minute drive Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  21. Nice write up Jeff and congrats again on your placing..............You heavy wing loaded BIOTCH! I might only be loaded at 1.5 and might not be flying a crossbraced yet but I'm learning my wing each and every jump. I'm gonna give everyone a run this year - WATCH OUT! See everyone in Sebastian in a few weeks. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  22. HOLY COW - what a turn out we had for the first Southeast CPC Meet. 24 Competitors total, including 6 Pros (but Chris Hayes sacrificed his slot on the already stuffed Otter so everyone who traveled the distance (from Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia and even one came all the way from NY). AWESOME EVENT with much thanks of course to Chris for getting it going again this year and all the judges and course helpers (props to Justin for being in and out of the water thru out the day for course changes and also the numerous noodle strikes! Quite a few showed up Friday so we made a handful of practice jumps, got much of the registration done early and Saturday came and things got going despite the winds, which teatered RIGHT ON the edge of the comp limits all day long. Everyone did great with managing them for the most part. I'm sure Chris and his awesome new WIFE (yes, wife....) Michelle will have all the scores up soon. Ryan from Lake Wales took first place, scoring in every round and I'm not going to begin to try and remember all the rest. Top 10 had some names like Loud Dan, Brian Buchler, Adrain Hart, Delibac, Zuliani, Scott Roberts, Isaiah....bla bla bla.......pull the Pro guys out of the mix and I placed 15th which I was STOKED about. Working hard, constantly learning, gradually moving up and ALWAYS HAVING FUN! Thanks also to Jay Mo who came out for the day and was our "voice of assistance". Trust and confidence....Trust and Confidence My goal for next round would be to INSPIRE some more GIRLS to come play. If you love flying your canopy and are willing to make a small investment for the sake of learning - the CPC is the perfect spot for it. Congrats to everyone for a great meet - simply showing up makes you all winners in my eyes (plus I just love seeing you all ). Until Sebastian, practice safe!!!! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  23. Stu - been trying to tell you to just move your ass here for what, a year now. So stop whining about your damn poison oak - it's as easy to make happen as 1-2-3....(ok maybe not THAT easy but still.......) Jeff - Stu is SPOT ON with his first comment about all you gain on the learning by just being around and/or part of the CPC. I used to help judge and learned the rules, then I sucked it up as I was learning to swoop last year and competed because everyone has to start somewhere and the knowledge is EVER-FLOWING ...and I got my ass kicked OFTEN yet left every comp with a smile. Seriously - it's not all about winning so if you can put THAT out of your head and just learn while you do your thing - you get your cake and eat it too...sorta. Big props to Tommy D - he normally hooks things up when he knows we are coming to play on the pond. i'm sure it is awesome (are the gators gone? ) I've got lots of bites on the room sharing, now I have to decide WHO.....I feel so....so.......powerful Come to Lake Wales. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  24. oh come now, though........compete......it is a GREAT learning experience seriously. Everyone is awesome (was awesome last year) about giving you feedback. Jay Moledski (if he is still coming) as far as I know will be on hand and is AMAZING about watching each person and trying to find something to give you back. If swooping is where your heart is right now, I promise you, the CPC is a really good learning tool (don't I almost sound like an advertisement?...ha ha ha) Compete - don't be scared - we are all friends! Look forward to seeing you either way. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
  25. We need girls.....we need more GIRLS TO COME SWOOP.......but I'll be happy to see all the boys again. Been a long season without them Hugs to you and Katie! See you in the hills in a few months (if not sooner) Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
