Oh my God! That's a GREAT idea!!!! I'm stopping at Starbucks tomorrow morning! I dunno about the marker thing... that could backfire. I always think it's funny when the dog owners and child owners let their kids/dogs run wild together. It's just a matter of time before some kid comes back covered in dog shit. If you don't have any prior experience with video editing, it'll probably take you a while to figure things out. Pulling video off the tape is just the start. I know alot of people who use Pinnacle Studio - yuo might want to check it out. It's very use friendly and does everything most people need in video editing. Personally, I use Vegas, it's awesome, but it's definitely a higher end editor. Also, you'll need a pretty decent computer to prevent dropped frames. Good luck! J Shhh... you hear that sound? Close... travelling to Orlando for business, stuck in a hotel without working Internet access all of last week. Cops showed up with the raft, after it was recovered from a tree, and asked if a member of 'Team Dirty Sanchez' (sticker was on the raft), would like to claim the raft. As you can imagine, Perry proudly stepped forward, and the cops asked him to put his hands on the hood. Everybody was silent, then the cops says, 'just kidding'. They said they just needed a name for their report. Turns out some redneck called the fire dept. about a skydiver landing in a tall tree next to the highway. They showed up, climbed their ladder to the top of the tree just to find a half inflated raft. Hmmm. Wonder how that got there!?! Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!

Oh, yeah, I was watching the video of that freefly jump, aka 'tracking dive'. I think you and I are going to have to have a little (un) friendly competition! I have my D70 sitting here in front of me right now.... this is so tempting... maybe I better sober up first... Looks like 6 small screws hold the top cap on... If I'm lucky that will expost the shutter release mechanism. Maybe there's a way to use the IR remote, but pipe the light through some fiber optic instead. Any other ideas are welcome here folks... [sigh], no, no, no, no! It's not about losing, it's about the challenge and the satisfaction of striving to obtain a goal that's within reach! You, Mark, and the rest of the folks on here are constantly challenging each other, and that's what makes it fun for you. One of you beats (or comes close) the other, and you look forward to the next comp to try that challenge again. I just don't see the fun/challenge in me competing with you guys at the level I'm at now. I'm really looking forward to competing with LoudDan. He's more experienced than I, and I'm sure I'll be losing to him repeatedly (in the beginning ), but he's a rabbit that I think I can catch. I would have a blast finishing last in every comp, but knowing I performed the best I could, and only needed a few more points to beat LoudDan. THAT'S the challenge - THAT'S fun!

Yeah, I did see that, but I'd still like to see a diagram of what I'm getting into before I take apart a $600 camera. I've got this thing about not believing everything I read on the Internet! J Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
