  1. That may be, but at least it does not involve WORK
  2. And to think, he is not done yet.
  3. Knowing your reputation, why all of a sudden do I feel like a sheep? P.S. Clay, don't get excited just because I used the "S" word.
  4. I don't know, as I can not even fathom what a $1,800 potato would look like.
  5. Did anybody check out the rates? The cheapest is $1,800 a night. There is no way that I am going to give up 100 jumps for any "valley"
  6. When I wanted to become a rigger I asked around about all of the options, called the known schools and manufactures. Out of all of the manufactures in Florida only Jump Shack offered rigger training, and the best part is it was FREE. I spent three months learning not only rigging, but also manufacturing and testing. It was pretty impressive to watch a 300 pound test load go out of a plane at 200kts., 300' off of the ground and have a 97 square foot canopy open and take the load to the ground intact. I had access to multiple riggers and staff and the people could not have been nicer or more helpful. I learned all of the factory "tricks & tools" that make packing easy. After getting my riggers rating I have managed to get in at some of the other manufactures to learn each of their "tricks & tools" and developed contacts with each of the companies. It wasn't the fastest way to learn but in the end I think it made me a better rigger.
  7. Just remember that BAD is GOOD
  8. For the record, I agree with Rob on the topic as I would like to do the Aitec Loops (who said I did not?). I did rebut what he said with contrary facts. Fact: This has been brought to the Mfg. attention and they have chosen to not make any changes. Fact: Given this, it is non-constructive to continue the bashing since they are not going to change. Fact: I never said Rob should not bring up any topic and in fact I encourage such discussions but this one has been beat to death and there has to be a point where you just move on. Fact: No one is going to silence Rob Fact: I have no stature, so there is nothing to diminish
  9. You are clearly under some misconception that you have rights to certain information. The Mfg. has made their decision, get on with your life, Otherwise buy the company and change what you want with it. I am not trying to convince you of anything. I was only offering you constructive criticism because I think that you have a lot of knowledge to offer the industry and your "bad-mouthing" does not make the Mfg. look bad, it makes you look exactly like you have just said, it's just "bad-mouthing". By your own words there is no objectivity in your views about this Mfg. People do not generally perceive consistent negative comments from someone well. Like I said before, stick to the proactive constructive knowledge that you usually provide and that I generally look forward to as you will provide skydiving with a wonderful source of knowledge and information for years to come.
  10. Still making them. Go to www.jumpshack.com
  11. Why, the mfg. has stated their approved method since they are responsible for their design and have already stated that they have reviewed the Airtec method and will not approve it. Or are you doing this as usual to cause controversy since you have never said anything good about their products or owners and you alrady know that it will not result in a change. Rob, you have made it very clear that you do not like Racers so why continue to beat a dead horse and only lower others view of you when you have so many good things to offer about equipment. Your time would be better spent and respected if you kept to your positive contributions. Also Nancy is and has been the President and as of Friday John was still there. They must be doing somthing right as they have doubled the number of employees during the last year and production is at an all time high.
  12. 132 rolls of duct tape and you will never know the difference
  13. WOW, thats more than even the factory charges I charge $50. The same as any other rig. I would look around for another rigger or ask the one you have to contact the factory to learn how they pack. They will teach you for free.
  14. The new racers have tuck tabs and not velcro. They also have velcroless toggles.
  15. Yeah, sliding that second pin in takes that additional 5 sec. and that will wear you out. NOT!
  16. I don't, I like Racers and can repack a reserve as fast as any other rig. I guess it is a matter of proper training. It gets me that some riggers charge more to pack a rig that they don't know the proper way to pack!
  17. Congratulations Lisa
  18. Not only will the Racers hold that combination of canopies but also you can have your choice of the container being either narrow and thick or wide and thin. And I charge less for repacking a Racer than the other containers.
  19. The batteries cannot be used in the old cypress. In fact they are not going to be available or sold to anyone. The only field serviceable part that is the filter.
  20. I went to a local fabric store and took a sewing class for garment sewing. It was well worth it and I learned a lot of tricks in a short amount of time that I probably would not have learned in years. Also for poly/cotton fabric for freefly outfits I have found some really awesome colors and patterns at Wal-Mart. I took a pair of both freefly pants and jumpsuit to the class and they showed me how to make them the same way.
  21. Knowing how focused Sunshine is at being a stalker I would fear the dark if I were you
  22. Yea, bag locks are always a result of bad body position
  23. Ruler of the universe......Men fear him, sheep love him, girls want him, countries seek him.........
  24. $354 with the registration fee and no jumps! I'm looking at other options, thats for sure.
