  1. No/Yes, It is on the RWS web site. For the 34 tandem fatalities shown. only three were sub 1000 jump tandem instructors.

  4. Really? Are you saying that there are jumps that do not require both? I don't think so! I think you are confusing a "Class I" medical with a Class III medical. There is a huge difference between the two and only a Class III is required by the FAA for doing tandems.
  5. Yeap, probably has NEVER happened.NOT! And no one has EVER had to make an emergency exit.Oh, and don't forget that malfunctions ONLY happen under optimal condition and when you expect them to! Just remember that it is what you “can’t imagine” that will bite you ass!
  6. It varies by state, sometimes state law. In other cases it can be addressed by the organizations bylaws or rules and regulations. Most states have some type of "Sunshine Act" that addresses it.
  7. Most states require that the membership be notified of such meetings. They are usually announced as an example: "The board will be meeting in Executive Session to meet with legal counsel". Then the results of the meeting are published but not the discussion. I disagree. If the meeting meets the criteria for executive session then it should not be made public to the membership even though any decision the board makes during that meeting can affect the membership. Again, I am only talking about specific circumstances that meet the requirements and not the meetings that are for running the day to day business.
  8. In addition to the suggestions above, another reason responsible drop zones require a day jump is so that you can see what any out landing areas that you may need to use look like. Would you want to land out at night and not have any idea of where you are landing or what you may land on?I also recommend that you take a cell phone with you.
  9. Most states allow this type meeting under certain circumstances. The governing body can have an executive session for such item as pending litigation and discipline. Only the results of the meeting have to be presented to the membership. As an example, say that as a member of an organization I take legal action against them. Should I then be allowed to attend the meeting with the board when they meet with the attorney to discuss the issue? No, of course not. Any organization has to have this type of mechanism to protect the organization as a whole.
  10. Only if they are a Master rigger. You might also call Wings (Sunrise Rigging) and ask them to give you a price. It might be cheaper or the same and it is better if the factory made the change.
  11. Yeah, and don't even worry about her husband Chuck because she will kick your butt in a heart beat!
  12. 1. Jay Schrimshaw 2. Derrick Thomas 3. Katie on Right 4. Betsy Barnhouse 5. Katie on left 6. Katie
  13. I don't know, you are looking a little under the weather as they would say, like you may need to call in sick so that you can get better.
  14. Everyone also needs to understand that from a business point, the military market is much larger than the sport market and there has been a lot of development there that most people no nothing about. To put it in perspective, in 2002 the sport market generated about $18M in revenue compared to over $66M on the military side. And the military side has allowed a lot of good companies to stay in business to make all of the great sport equipment. So some companies may have had items on the shelf but they were not a priority to bring to the market from a business point of view.
  15. Your the one that sucks, wantabe! Your the one that will not be there and as such will be SUCKING big time!
  16. Boy? I think not. Your dressing like that for the ladies?
  17. I love people who hide! What does it matter who at PD designed it? There was a prototype at the symposium and it has been flown. Also why does it matter what the name is? And is it "ironic" or is a smart business decision?
  18. Story of my life, always playing #2 to Cara. At this point in my life my only purpose is to be her bitch boy to throw her PC and flare for here to land. Even Clay said she was smart enough that she could be trained to make the Rum Runners.
  19. Good dog picture, his name is Zeus. The picture in the background is a trandem with a tandem master, K9 handler (me), K9 (Cara), ruck sack and weapons. 643bs. out the door!
