RoamingDZ.com is organizing beach jumps in Destin,Fla. If all goes well it will be the weekend of Aug.28-29.I don't have all the details yet.I am posting to hopefuly find someone in the area down there to get some info from about places to stay and such.Check in at RoamingDZ.com on the message board if you can help out or if you would like to attend. I agree with you Jeff.If you are telling people about an event you are doing it to get people to come.Not to say hey look at what we are doing an we don't want you here.Just about everything posted here is advertising in some form.I don't see a difference in who is telling you about something a DZO or a jumper and I don't think you can regulate this.My message board on RoamingDZ.com was set up just for the purpose of spreading the word of what is going on in the Southeast.But....Opps....I guess that would be advertising and should be deleted

I don't land on my feet, but that doesn't mean i'm a bad canopy pilot. I just need to take a canopy course to help get me over my fear of landing on my feet. You should look at my spinal xrays.That will get you over the fear of landing on your feet. Chris

Is that the only concern you have about our sport? Take the energy it took to make this post and take someone to the DZ this weekend or maybe jump with a newbie for FREE.Call a friend you haven't seen at the DZ in a while.

To add to my answer of "The Vibe".I would also add diversity in the crowd.I think that makes for a healthy Dz.Different types of people to talk to and learn from.Think about that the next time you see someone having a hard time fitting in.You might go talk to them and find out they are pretty cool.I wouldn't go to jump a free Casa if the people sucked. For those of you who know about Pete the dog he has made the trip to his new home.I went to Skydive Tallahassee this weekend"Fun place with great people"to meet up with Richard "our great Southeastern Regional Director,Don't forget to vote".Some fun dives and a good party for a non boogie weekend.Someone else can fill you in on the swoop meet.Ended the day with myself and most of the swoop competitors doing a canopy flock.It was a Kodak moment and me without my camera.Oh well.Had a great time.
