It looks like you jump at an awsome DZ. Find old man Paul! He's been around for years and loves helping newbes out. He'll help guide you though some of this. Tell him Wild Bill from Buckeye sent you. He'll get you with the best instrutors there. Also, go to the party this weekend! he's asked me to be there 3 years in a row. I keep telling him to get my wife to let me go and I'm there! go to the party, you'll learn lots!

I have to agree. Every part rocks. But, has anyone ever noticed how quite it gets in the plane right before the door opens? We've been joking,talking, have done our high fives or whatever, checked our gear, and then... silence. You do not need to sign it! All you need to do is: Buy your own airfield Buy ypur own plane Hire your own pilot Build your own rig,reserve,and main (remember, if its not TSO'd the pilot won't let you out of your plane) Jump But, you better have some insurance because if you manage to get a good canopy over your head you still don't know how to fly it and will probably land on "Farmer Brown" in the next field over, causing bodly harm and property damage which he will sue you for all your worth! On Sat. July 8th we will have a Skyvan for the day. Lifts will cost $20.00 to 14000. Free dinner w/ticket stub. If we have a large enough turnout this will become a monthly all weekend event

The TI in that incedent is my S&TA and one of my best friends! I have jumped w/him on other tandums,but, when he took my feancee at the time(now my wife) I declined because of my involvment emotionally w/ the both of them, mostly because of my level of experiance. Most TI's that I know need to be confidant w/ your flying abilities before they will let you jump with them. Remember, a tandum is not a normal skydive. Don't be upset when /if they say no. And JT, 1 of your recrutes is one of my favorite jumpers,and, who has recruted many jumpers who I get to jump with, and are good friends of mine! This is why I wish we ,as "up jumpers" or instructors, could limit the amount of freeflying that newer jumpers do. I had my 1st mal (a preme @ 9000') on jump #43, my 4th jump as a "licensed" skydiver. I feel that younger jumpers need more experiance in the air, on their bellies, to see what goes on @ break-off! Freeflying is cool! It's a blast (of course I suck @ it) But it's really cool and a lot of fun I know that my mal had nothing to do with breakoff, but it had everthing to do with the added speed of freeflying! In this case w/crazy8, if he would have had an "Dirt Alert" he may not have found himself in this situation. Maybe if he had the time in the air to develop his "internal altimiter" this would not have happend. We need to help our newer jumpers into all the fun that is in the air. WE NEED TOO help them make the right choices so they become old skydivers There are so many ways we can play in the air, there is so much fun out there!! Good call! Vidio is such a great tool! I knew I missed something. I don't care if you have 1 jump or 1000, vidio is a great learning aid! I always have my camera on whene I'm with students.
