  1. Many find the exterior styling awful, especially the way it resembles the Chevy Avalanche in a side view, but that shape is also part of the reason the chassis is so rigid. I didn't have any role in the styling, that is left to the artsy types in California. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  2. There is more to comfort in the second row than legroom. The angle of the seatback is also crucial, many such trucks have a nearly vertical seatback instead of the traditional 21 degrees. I am more than a bit biased, having been a part of the design, but have you considered the Honda Ridgeline? It was designed, developed, and is built in North America. Some really innovative features, such as the huge, lockable, 'bed trunk', so big you can put 4 full size golf club bags or a LARGE cooler in it, or just fill it with ice (and drain it when done). A really comfortable rear seat that can fit golf clubs under it, and is split/folding for large items/bikes (you can put a full size bike across in the 2nd row). A really innovative center console with great storage features. Dual action tailgate (it can either swing down or out sideways) that is stronger than the competition's. You can fit quads and motorcycles with the tailgate down. The bed has an integrated, extremely tough liner. In comparison handling tests with a full load in the bed, the competition handles like a wet noodle, the Ridgeline still feels solid. Other vehicles have a higher towing capacity, but the Ridgeline is very solid in handling its 5000 lb limit. It is a unibody chassis instead of body on frame style, but it is actually much more rigid than the traditional frame type trucks. The all wheel drive system was first developed for the Acura MDX, it works in front wheel drive mode when driving easy and cruising, but will anticipate the need to send torque to the back wheels if you accelerate hard - it doesn't just wait for wheel slip to occur before shifting torque to the other wheels. Obviously it isn't a full size bed, they aren't trying to compete for that market. I could go on and on. http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2005/112_news051220_truck_of_the_year/index.html http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=462884 People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 3. So far as I can tell from your posts, you "learn" every time you find anything denying global warming and you "ignore" every time you find the opposite. That's not called learning. That's called faith or dogmatism. There is no lack of publicity for those that support Al Gore's position. That doesn't mean it is ignored. However, it would seem that you "ignore" every time you find the opposite. So who is in denial? 4. As seen in the pic near the back of the April Parachutist, the rope is free to pass through all the attachment points. I remember reading an article a few years back reminding us that it is better to have separate pieces of rope tied without much slack to each attachment. This prevents it from becoming a large amount of slack from tension on one side. Such a large bit of slack poses a hazard if a person gets flipped through it. I've only done one raft dive, it was fantastic. I was the only person that remembered to modify the rope as described, although others were reminded after I started doing it. 5. O'Reilly did indeed make a fool of himself that time. If you want to watch someone be a doormat for whatever guest is on his show, then Larry King is the guy to watch. I find such passive interview shows boring. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 6. A reply such as that definitely sends a 'not now' signal. "I'm married, fuck off", is not ambiguous. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  7. Do you think the hard cutaway pull was due to the risers being twisted? Did you 'peel' the cutaway pad off the velcro before pulling? I don't mean to insult you, just wanting more info to help make your report more useful. 8. That's great!!! Thanks. Being back on the market again after 15 years can give a person motivation to not be fat. 9. I didn't 'register' in your competition. I have lost 18 pounds in the last 2 months, down to 218, the lightest I've been since '99, and a full 30 pounds from my highest weight ever. 10. I don't need your advice to be able to decide what is bullshit and what isn't. I understand that O'Reilly is a threat to liberals, your baseless attack on his credibility is evidence of that. Why so cynical? Don't you think it is possible to be an entertaining political commentator that often will speak the truth? There are plenty of liberal icons that are frequent guests on his show and respect him, such as Juan Williams of NPR, even Al Sharpton. Even if you think he always lies, he has guests to counter his positions. If I ask a third time will you offer an example that you respect? William F. Buckley was definitely not an entertainer, he was extremely thoughtful, gave his guests way more time than needed to answer any question, and his show (firing line) was so boring that he didn't reach a big audience. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
  11. I understand that you don't want him to be respected at all. He is more combative to the far left than the far right, so you are towing the line, as expected. What political commentator can get any ratings without some entertainment value? There are plenty of times I think he's wrong, many more times he is spot on, in my opinion. What political commentators do you respect? Perhaps Rosie O'Donnell? People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 12. There is good reason to be worried about it coming off the clip, it has happened to many people. My ProTrack fit very well inside the ear opening, the particular liner I had fit the unit nice and snug, with no need to secure it further, and there was no interference with my ear. 13. I think he is a very good political commentator. He has very interesting and controversial guests, and they often get a long segment to discuss the issues. He follows up on issues aired previously. He can be unrelenting to those he chooses to crucify, such as judges that let child molesters go free. Try to find anyone else that has bothered to truly champion such causes. I really liked the parody that Saturday Night Live did of him. The issue was whether California or New York had a greater population. He said something to the effect of, I just don't see it, when I step out on the street in New York, there are people everywhere, not so in California, where am I wrong? This was a good example of how he can tend to make up his mind no matter what. He can also get really worked up and make an ass of himself, no doubt about that, but Phil Donohue and Letterman are asses that spew bullshit from a totally uninformed perspective. To those that tow the liberal line of despising him, what political commentator do you think is worthy? 16. Sure, plenty of people started at a Cessna DZ, but how many of those DZs had permanent facilities that included nothing but a small bit of carpet in the desert? The van with all the equipment, including swingset type frame for hanging harness would drive to the desert (part of the directions on how to get there would include advise on which side of trail was best to traverse the numerous ditches to avoid getting hung up) to meet the plane that flew in. The pilot was over 70 years old, never had a drivers license but had been flying since he was little, and had to be watched carefully to make sure he didn't fall asleep (I woke him up twice on the way up to altitude). One more thing, the DZ was so well staffed that one day I served as a static line jumpmaster (about 100 jumps, no license or rating) because it was better than the pilot doing it. Try to beat that, turbine babies! Bonus points to anyone that can guess what old Arizona DZ I'm describing. 17. Did he go down to the bottom of the canyon from the normal big tourist spot, or did he go into the Havasupai part of the canyon. Havasupai is the place to go, I've been there 3 times for 15 days total. This site cannot do it justice, it is that good. http://www.havasufalls.net/ He does the Havasupai part. Camps and then goes to the little place down there I can't remember the name of. Ghost Ranch maybe? If you mean Phantom Ranch, that is the boring, big tourist spot at the end of the Bright Angel Trail, I think it is called. Not at all worth doing if you know what Havasupai is like. When you see beautiful pictures of waterfalls from the Grand Canyon, they are all from Havasupai. 19. Even for guys, done poorly it can be boring. Shouldn't take long before some guy claims he doesn't like receiving oral, hoping to get offers from girls wanting to show him that it is all in the technique. 20. That's a comparison I don't think many people can relate to. I'm sure that with poor enough technique, it can be quite lousy. 21. I second the motion! I don't care much if you get delayed because a nervous nellie gets the TSA to pay attention to you, but it might result in all of us getting more hassle or the revocation of the policy allowing rigs as carry on baggage. I don't understand the reluctance to use a gear bag. Don't you want the use of the gear bag once you get to your destination? The gear bag will also allow you to carry some other items with you as well. Sometimes you absolutely can't depend on getting it on as carry on, and you'll be left with putting it on as checked baggage inside a large clear baggie, which is much worse than a gear bag. 22. How is that better? Both sides have their bad but Israels actions easily outweigh those of the arab people Its Israel occupying lands (violently) Its Israel with thousands of prisoners in their dungeons Its Israel with U.S helicopters blowing up half of neighbouring cities The free press in the US is full of that sort of crap reporting, in fact the Palestinian Authority has bragged about how many press outlets are their friends in spreading their version of events. The free press in the US also allows the other side to be distributed, which really sucks for those that want lies to be accepted as truth: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/myths/mftoc.html http://honestreporting.com/ People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. 23. What are some examples of media that isn't either/both 1 & 2 as you describe above? Are you claiming that is unique to the US? Where do you live? If your claim isn't controversial, then why is everyone not with you? I suppose you're on a quest to alert us that we don't live in a utopia. Thanks for the heads-up. The best proof that we still have a very healthy free press in the US is that many sensitive secrets are revealed and politicians/corporate leaders still get brought down by scandals brought forth by the press. Heck, even if the scandal is fraudulent, the press brings them forward (Dan Rather-biased). 25. The whole issue of the consequences of losing a war are different now. Germany and Japan truly had a change of heart and changed their ways after WWII. They quickly became a close ally instead of a threat. Because of that, they were allowed to govern themselves in a democratic way instead of being conquered as done throughout most of history. The Arab countries fighting against Israel have done the opposite. Despite starting and losing wars, they want there to be no consequence. The only exception I see was Sadat of Egypt. Until other leaders in the region are willing to do the same, there is no hope for peace, unless you're willing to give up Israel.
