  1. I agree with wan2doit the overnight camps are the way to go(I also responded to your other thread) but don't worry about what to work on they will give you a coach and he will tell you what to do. my first time they told me something similar (I had 50 jumps). they said I would have "novice coaching". I learned a ton from that "novice coaching" you will too
  2. you will wish you booked more than 5. ask about there overnight camps they are a great deal, and if they give you any info post it on here I emailed them asking about the next one with no reply
  3. just out of curiosity what are the different disciplines or approaches to wingsuit flying? I hear people say.. " if your gonna do acro..." 1. what exactly is wingsuit acro? 2. what else is there?
  4. im not gonna tell you are right or wrong in your opinions, but I hope you understand how toolish this sounds and what it does for your argument
  5. not sure where you jumped at but your profile says you are in Orlando which means you are near a DZ that I am pretty sure has a lot of other female flyers (Deland) and I believe they have a AFF program that incorporates the wind tunnel you have in Orlando. but yes a lot of people fail jumps on AFF and you will continue to mess up on jumps long after AFF
  6. in the original a belly flying skydive was extreme, now that's nothing, gotta have wingsuit base
  7. I have heard some people can become seriously addicted to that stuff
  8. If they don't appeal, these crazies will likely file another lawsuit one after the other until they run out of cash or die. Their only motivation will be to bankrupt the operation if it does not stop. The solution? We should all jump there ;) giant boogie
  9. I have a whuffo friend who just bought some tandems from groupon and has asked me to join them when they go, I checked out the DZ and its not far from me but I am not very familiar with them. Skydive orlanpa? I believe they are associated with Jump Florida skydiving. Anyone here know of either?
  10. agreed I probably wont jump a camera when I can because of the cost. I would rather go to the tunnel or learn to wing suit. And every Cessna DZ operates a little differently, it would be easy to get 100jumps in a year at mine because the DZO will slide a fun jumper load into between tandems so we aren't waiting all day. I honestly believe that with some training I could jump a gopro safely very soon. but people who have been around longer say its not a good Idea so I will listen and I am sure one day I will get it. like I said I wont jump one even when I can because the only video I want is the one on the other guys head. can someone explain to me how you learn from your own video? (sincere question)
  11. 8k should work I did it with 7 have fun!
  12. my advice is too have a good amount of money set aside to get your a license all your own gear and then some left over for a good amount of jumping. there is other ways to do it but it sucks to be limited on what you can do right after getting your license because you cant afford it. And all the fun really starts once your licensed

  14. what was your pre jump instructions? I don't remember which level it changed but at some point the instruction went from if you cant find your instructor after so many seconds pull.. to... if you cant find your instructor continue the skydive as planned and pull at correct altitude
  15. +1 I would go home and do at least one pack job after work everyday and it became much easier especially getting it into the bag
  16. its easy to make decisions you will regret when it comes to buying gear early in your skydiving career, I know from first hand experience so just don't make any impulse buys. but I bought a used rig before a jumpsuit for 1600 and it was the best decision I made I wont give any advice on what brands you should get because I am a newb as well just make sure whatever you spend hundreds and with your rig thousands of dollars on wont just sit in your closet
  17. my advice would be to wait and use your dz suits for awhile if possible. for one you will still be doing belly to finish your a license and should do some after your a license to be safe on your belly. and you may find 4 way to be fun and decide to stick with belly even longer. if you cant use the dz suits a cheap flite suite would probably work but also have to consider if your instructors want you to have grips while still a student
  18. what discipline do you plan on doing?
  19. I think that's the wind tunnels job. the question has been am I willing to pay that price. I personally have found that price reasonable (when its a overnight camp).
  20. bring her to the DZ, when people see load after load landing and everyone has smiles on there face they seem to get more interested, and they can ask questions, see the gear/procedures
  21. good point, I just always saw rigs hanging and assumed that was what you should do
  22. 1.pull 2.pull at correct altitude 3.pull stable ?? my guess
  23. inside is no problem, I want my rig too last! thanks for advice key board stand looks like good idea
