  2. reading the IRM it states " At least one individual has gone to jail for criminal negligence where a student was killed." anyone know the story behind this?
  3. that makes sense, it kinda caters to what each DZ is capable of but yea in the end its all the same
  4. what is the difference between the two? is it that AFP has 3 tandems first? is there any other difference? I did one tandem then AFF. I would not have wanted to do another tandem.
  5. I think your best bet would be to go with a VISO, he doesn't have an altimeter at 120 jumps? if he does you may also consider an audible altimeter
  6. https://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/altimeters how many jumps does he have?
  7. Bullshit.. stuff it in there and jump it
  8. can you explain? I don't understand... (except for maybe a suit with booties) how does using a FS suit with out booties or a FF suit act as a crutch?
  9. my advice... stay in school get a good job and start skydiving when you can go at it 100%. you could visit the tunnel from time to time while finishing school, wouldn't break your bank and would benefit you down the road. or learn to pack
  10. so if left on standby mode I don't need to physically turn it back on? it will turn itself back on when climbing to altitude and remain accurate?
  11. have always jumped a helmet with my audible visible and would manually turn it on before jumping, now I have a G3 so it is hidden. in then manual it implies that if i just let the audible go into stand by mode after 14 hrs it will still be ready to jump. am I understanding this correctly? do most people with g3's just leave audible on stand by and will it drain the battery quicker?

  13. can anyone vote, and how and when does that happen?
  14. ahh that makes sense I was imagining the pull force coming from the other direction causing the container to open. thanks for clarification
  15. can you explain this better I don't understand. how do you check it with out opening the container?
  16. I was replying to this post by billvon
  17. 600? I don't believe that is correct
  18. I don't agree with trophy hunting and I am not sure if it applies in this particular case but in many cases in Africa without these rich trophy hunters paying crazy amounts of money to hunt certain animals those same animals would be on the verge of extinction. but in Africa these "prizes" are worth a lot of money and if they weren't there populations would suffer. I have never been hunting in my life but a few lions dying may be saving many more Yeah http://lionalert.org/page/lion-population-latest-estimates BTW: Now the king is dead, the new one is taking over the pride. His first action: Killing all the youngsters/cubs of his precurser ... to make sure only his genes will be spread. That, indeed 'will save' some lions .... after reading more it does not apply in this case but in many it does. I do agree trophy hunting for personal satisfaction is gross and immoral but if you put that aside there are some benefits to legal trophy hunting.

  20. ***Consult your instructor about it. Ask him/her if you really need it or not. Some people seem to Ace the AFF course. Others have a lot of trouble Arching.. you may not need the tunnel to pass your AFF but the tunnel will benefit your flying especially down the road
  21. different style canopy but my triathlon is about 17ish years old I have stood up my last 70ish jumps and had no problems flaring. I find it is all about finding the 'timing' of that canopies flare but my experience is very limited
  22. please enlighten me on these facts. I am sincerely interested I just returned from a celebration of life for a sister who graduated into eternal life with Christ. If you are sincerely interested, and I assume you are, I suggest you start you own investigation into creation science, use Google or Bing. Your path will mean more to you as you compare both sides. You have been taught the lie since you were in kindergarten. So you have to keep an open mind on your search. Otherwise, your mind will always lead you negatively because that is your original programming. Remember throughout, the most important factor is to be born again. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I have been presented with evidence that supports the evolutionary theory very strongly, I have never been presented with anything other than "it is faith" to back creationism. I would be very open minded if someone had some sort of evidence but I have yet to see it. seems to me evolution is 99.9% proven and creationism..... 0%?
