Enjoyed it and highly recommend it, but the writing is definitely 'florid' and a bit overdone, but then you get used to it. Once used to the style, it is easy to read 50 pages in a sitting. It is NOT 100% true....its just too much happening to one guy. He has a website to visit. http://www.shantaram.com/ Johnny Depp is to play the part of the 'hero'/anti-hero, and if you've read the book you will agree with me that it is impossible to imagine him in the part of a very large, muscle bound, scarred faced New Zealand criminal. They were in wachula east of Bradenton, now most weekends they are flying out of a strip on Fruitville east of I-75 (exit 210), much closer to the beaches. It's a cessna dz. They have been doing fun jumper beach jumps for years....

Awesome film! Downey claims that he skydives. Like a muff brother skydiving several loads in a day, the site has gone through its ups and downs over the years. A porn site grabbed the original URL and then the site has gone from webserver to webserver. Its not hard to understand why the muff brothers have difficulties getting the site together. Too many 'safety meetings' perhaps? It is rare for the plane to take off when there is thick cloud cover, unless for hop n pops. But it certainly happens that by the time the plane is at 13.5K clouds might roll in. It is also possible that when the first ones out exited they had a clear view of the DZ that you didn't have by the time you got to the door. Either way, you did know better, and you could have stayed on the plane. In any case, if there were instructors onboard behind you, they would have given you advice and helped you spot. Same with your learning progression past AFF. You have to make the effort to talk to your coaches and ask for help, they won't come to you. I highly recommend doing more coach jumps, yes they cost more but then you have someone as a point of reference who can debrief you about your experience on the skydives. There are some incredible coaches at ZHills, and the more you interact with them the more they can advise you. Please actively seek out and talk to the instructors, your fellow students and low time jumpers, and go over to the experienced skydivers and introduce yourself. ZHills in the summer is definitely more laid back, especially on weekdays and it will be easier to communicate. See ya there!
