  1. What I found that helped me regarding looking ahead, not down and keeping height awareness for flare timing was to obviously look ahead at the end of the field or landing zone, but use your peripheral vision to judge your height. For instance, my home DZ has a tree line off the side of the field. So I use the trees in the edge of my vision as a height indicator: see leaves, don't flare, see trunk (i.e. no more leaves) it's about time to flare as our leaves stop about 12ft or so off the ground. And when I say "about time to flare", I don't mean immediately stab to your crotch, do your nice normal two-stage progression. My situation may be different than yours as far as surroundings, but if you can find something like that to use, it helped me a lot. Any idea?

None. I'm not that into the racing aspect of it, I just have fun. After all, it is just a car, not the sum of my existence. My cars don't have any bumper stickers on them, just Marine Corps tag frames. I'd very much encourage you to go do an intro trackday with one of your Vettes. I did trackdays for years on my bikes and it really amazes me what these machines are capable of and how little of that ability we use on a daily basis. Don't worry about "racing", it's just taking your car to its natural environment! In every man's life he will be allotted one good woman and one good dog. 3. Oh my god! A young adult operating operating firearms in a controlled environment under professional supervision! She's even exercising trigger discipline and barrel control! Obviously they are training the next wave of school shooters! Oh the humanity! I'm pretty leftist when it comes to gun-control (aussie, so already have strict gun control anyway), but I was quite impressed with that video. She's clearly well-trained, and has a solid grasp on safety. My concern is gun owners who have neither. I know laws vary drastically in the US from state to state, is it mandatory as a rule to have a certain level of safety/weapons training before you get your gun? Or do you just sign your papers, pay your money then pick up your weapon? I'm not trying to start any sort of fight (I'm new here ), but I'm genuinely curious if there's ever going to be serious middle ground on the gun control debate somewhere between Cold Dead Hands and Ban ALL The Guns!!... In some states, yes you have to take a training course to be licensed. In Virginia for example, to get a concealed carry permit you have to take a class, that's why my Georgia permit isn't valid up there, basic sheriff's background check was all that was required. 6. Considering at the time, a non-believer was everyone who was not Hebrew, then that pretty much sums up every other race outside the Hebrews. (btw, I'm a non-believer, but raised Christian, so I have a good understanding of the material, as bogus as I think it is) species=human. race=ethnicity, color, nationality etc... that's why it's called racial hate. the racist don't hate humans, they hate a particular "race" In every man's life he will be allotted one good woman and one good dog. 8. Actually it's simply a leap back in time. To pretty much any time before the late 80's to early 90's... And to deny that fact proves complete ignorance of the history of this country, and planet. And I'd be willing to bet a pretty large sum there are passages in the Bible describing marrying outside one's own class/tribe/religious sect. 10. It would also be terrible to lose the entire jump season with their 9 month wait list! on topic, I was told by Altico that a pad could be added to my dolphin to add bulk to the pack tray to accommodate a smaller canopy. 11. I'm not a tinfoil type either, but it stinks. 1.6 billion rounds? enough for 5 shots into each person in the country. 12. And Dale Earnhardt died at 180mph in Daytona in a race, Dan Wheldon died in a race, Marco Simoncelli died in a MotoGP race. All world class drivers/riders. Outlaw NASCAR and MotoGP, hell all cars and bikes if the professionals can die, no one should have access to these deadly objects! 24. Great point about experiencing high-performance driving (riding in my case). It slowed my ass WAY down on the street when I was on the bike. Something about "not appropriate in this environment" to be pushing double+ the speed limit. Now that I have a sporty-handling car (3 series), I enjoy the exit ramps and such, but highway speeds stay in the 5-9 over range.
