>PC on parade
How is that "PC?" Some people have gun fetishes. Other people are into high heels or bare feet or fat chicks. Whatever gets you going.
You are serious?
Indeed. Plenty of people have fetishes that are a bit "alternative."
I disagree that the presence of fetishists creates a stereotype of guns linked with sex. Despite the large number of people into things like coprophilia, I don't think defecating is stereotyped as a sexual act.

Yep. Nothing wrong with that.

I agree that it doesn't create it; I suspect the stereotype would exist no matter what GirlsAndGuns.com puts on their website. It merely reinforces it a bit.

Quotequade: the next time somebody brings up gun violence and women you pretty much have no place to stand.
Whoa. There's no relationship between sport shooting and gun violence against women. Only a true gun-o-phobe would find an equivalence between the two.
Quoterushmc: How the hell did the blonde and brunette miss those yellow bottles right in front of them? Sheesh..
They weren't chosen for their shooting skills.

Just because you enjoy watching beautiful women doesn't mean that it's a fetish. I enjoy watching them do all sorts of things, like walking down the beach, playing volleyball, whatever. Just because these attractive women happen to be shooting guns doesn't mean that the men who appreciate their beauty have a gun fetish.
billvon 2,462
Correct. When you enjoy them in conjunction with an inanimate object, whether it be a high heeled shoe or a gun, that's considered a fetish. Many fetishes are mainstream (high heels, low cut dresses etc) and some aren't. That's all fine; doesn't mean guns or high heeled shoes are bad or anything.
>Just because these attractive women happen to be shooting guns

Also correct. However, several people on this thread (and others) have referred to how hot women with guns are; the original post is about weapons, not women, and suggests that the video will get you sexually excited. That _is_ a fetish. (And again, to emphasize, there's nothing wrong with that.)

QuoteWomen In Waders - the calendar
Yep. It doesn't matter what they are doing, I just enjoy seeing attractive women in very little clothing.
It seems to go both ways. When women know they're hot, they love to play it for the attention. There is always some woman at a dance club, in an interesting outfit, who is doing a hair-flip just to push it to the next level.
Almost everybody is happy about that.
Sometimes, people overthink simple things.
Do you think the bras and panties of the chicks undergoing "tactical training" were kevlar?
The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
QuoteNow someone will come in with the bullshit Freud quip about guns/penii ...
Attached is the pic of AJ from Tomb Raider.
I love aggressive, hotly-athletic, fearless, out-on-the-edge women like the AJ character. Many skydiving women are just like that. Nothing like a real woman who knows what she wants.
Guys who can't handle that type are generally the whiny, fearful apologists who grovel for attention. That is a Freudian issue.
"Yes, I just want to cuddle too... Oprah is so right, men are just evil..."
My thought? "Bring me the boo-tay, baby..."

Why? Were they shooting at each other?

I don't know, but I like the way you're thinkin'.
Kevlar might be a bit too abrasive. Maybe with a nice cotton lining for when they get too sweaty.
Grrrr...
Sure, we know WWF women wrestling is fake, but - heck - so is Days of Our Lives and women watch that crap every day. We all have our dreams.

QuoteUh, not exactly helping to fight the stereotype of guys equating guns with sex. Not that it's an original concept, chicks posing with and shooting guns seems to be recurring theme with calendars and magazines, but holy crap that's blatant.
If that's what it takes to get your rocks off . . . whatever.
Guns as neocon Viagra?
"O brave new world that has such people in it".
For example, prostitutes may reinforce a person's predisposition to stereotype women as useful mainly for a man's sexual gratification. Or, it may reinforce another's stereotype as a reinforcement of a woman's right to self-determination of life and career. Or it may reinforce a stereotype of young mothers in poverty having to subject themselves to illegality. Or, reinforce a stereotype of vice in society.
Whatever a person's preconceived notions are will reinforce the steretype. I have never equated guns with sex. People do. I have never stereotyped skydiving with crime. People do if they are predisposed to doing so.
