Who do you blame for society's ills?

Seeing as how I've seen so many people/beliefs/religions, etc, blamed for all the ills of society, I reckoned it'd be helpful to get a hater demographic so that I can see who we're dealing.

Please explain your answer. If for example, you think that men are the root of all evil, explain why you believe it.

Provide examples, i.e., the mean and abusive boyfriend in high school that dumped you for that skanky whore, proving that all men can't see past stupid pea-brained testosterone. Or, if you believe that illegal immigrants are destroying the society, point out one bad example - even 1,000 bad examples, to prove your (presumed) position that every one of them should be deported, killed, etc. Point out the illegal immigrant that killed a young baby as evidence that all illegal immigrants are bad.

You forgot to add the humanrace. Peoples inability to get along and treat each other with respect and not worry about what another is doing is the main culprit. You and your kind can do has you please as long as it does not cause harm to another person or group. People stomp and shout about what they consider wrong and want to cram what they consider right right down your throat. I do not give a damn about what someone is doing untill they cross the line. Only when the few cross that line should we concern ourselves. I use to be extremely racist and why? There are more white people who has caused me harm than black or mexican or whomever. I use to really hate gay people because I thought they were sick. They never done anything to me. Basicly, I hated everyone who was not like myself. An entire world of people like myself would be an extremely screwed up world. Diversity makes the world interesting and people should respect that and stop trying to mould it to their own world vision.

All of the above, plus all of us, plus everyone else in the world, including past, present, and future.

An ideal world would have us all living interdependently, valuing each other for our special gifts, complementing each others' weaknesses with strengths, and reaching heights of advancement, social sophistication, peace, & sustainability.

This is, of course, not likely given its current state.

We're a people 1,000's of generations old, who've been passing on the "sins of our fathers" the whole damn time.

Because the human spirit and its desire for the Ideal are strong, we haven't fallen into a state of utter chaos just yet.

The permutations of the damage caused from one generation to the next however, have also been staggering - resulting in the slowing of progress, the degradation of entire races or nations, and certainly the harming of the planet.

It also means there's a lot more people messed up in a lot more ways than ever before, which makes further progress harder.


There are 2 things we can all do about that: 1.) take full responsibility for ourselves, our actions, and the impact they have on the world around us, and 2.) we must truly love ourselves (for our gifts & our weaknesses.)

99% of the women I have had the pleasure to work with gave 100% and then some. I cannot say that about the men I have worked with. The majority of these women worked harder than the men on the job and then went to second jobs or to a class or home to take care of children. Often they were single parents pulling the full load. Damn, you sound like a sexist with a serious grudge against women.

I didn't pull my viewpoint out of thin air. It has come from years of watching angry women trying to mold the world to their point of view. If that is your view, honestly come by, then I can't argue it. It is, after all, simply opinion. However, I would suggest you missed the point of the whole feminism movement (as might have some of the more..."ardent" feminists...).
