dove 0 #9 December 30, 2003 For your tree, Jeremy, never. Your tree is so beautiful. It brought on the most tears of nostalgia by far in the "post your tree pics" thread. I know it's nice to get the space in the living room back, but taking the tree down is so anti-climactic. Of course, I don't have that problem this year... Fall in dove. LadyLaney 0 #10 December 30, 2003 Hmm, IIn my house, the lights come down when your husband drags the damn Christmas Tree through the house like a mad man...spilling water and pine needles on every square inch of the floor first. Yes, that's about right.
jeremyneas 0 #11 December 30, 2003 It is a beautiful tree Dove, but after a couple weeks it turns into a potential TORCH. When you touch it all the needles break off and the heater gives a laugh of evil!!! Thanks for the comments

Muenkel 0 #13 December 30, 2003 OK, for once I will give a serious answer. If your tree makes it, they usually should get taken down after Jan. 6th, which is considered the actual end of the Christmas season. Disclaimer: If your tree is already brown, best to take it down now. _________________________________________ Chris

hooked 0 #15 December 30, 2003 For me, once Christmas is over, I want the house back to normal. Hmmmm.....maybe we shouldn't put so many lights up! kingbunky 3 #23 December 30, 2003 the tree came down on saturday, the lights on the house wait for a decent day with no snow onthe roof. i don't have a ladder so i tempt fate by wandering around the roof in my socks, trying to keep a sharp eye out for balck ice on the shingles! EdC 0 #24 December 30, 2003 New Years Day, mini lights are cheap, throw the old ones away and buy new ones for next year. It's not worth the trouble to pull every light out of the strand next year to find the one that is burned out. Big Ed
skycutie 0 #25 December 30, 2003 Puerto Rico is known for its very long Christmas season celebration (las Navidades más largas del mundo.) It starts the day after Thanksgiving and ends eight weeks after January 6th (Three King's Day or the Epiphany of the Lord.) We call them las octavitas. During that eight week period we have the Fiestas de San Sebastián and then, Carnaval Season, putting an end to the Christmas festivities.
