bertusgeert 1 #12 June 16, 2004 I was about to go on a rant - but I realized we are sitting around the bonfire, and didn't want to disturb the atmosphere. I don't read, look ar listen to news anymore. It just pisses me off - the content as well as the way it is presented in. I choose to be somewhat ignorant to remain happy. --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!

gmanpilot 0 #19 June 16, 2004 I have lived without broadcast or cable TV for the past year, and I don't really miss it. I can say that when I do see the news, it's kind of irratating. It is more sensationalist entertainment than news, IMHO. The papers are a little better, but not much. I figure if it's really important, someone will tell me about it, and then I'll read about it myself. TV basically sucks I guess._________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

SpeedRacer 1 #22 June 16, 2004 You left out BBC. I'm American, but I found that BBC has a more even balance of coverage around the world. Whereas most US news sources put anything outside the US on the back burner. They'll tell you who J-Lo is marrying this month on the front page, but a war in West Africa is kinda lost as a footnote.
