PabloCruz2 0 #1 July 15, 2004 Since I have only jumped at one DZ, I thought it would be fun to see if anybody else has aerial shots of their DZ. All my jumps have been at Oklahoma Skydiving Center in Cushing, OK. A place very dear to my heart. In the first pic, the complex below my left hand is a prison. A very good place to avoid an "out" landing! On most days you could hear the inmates shouting up at you while under canopy.
Kris 0 #2 July 15, 2004 Ahhhh.....I remember that prison all too well. It was funny opening up by the prison and seeing them all head-up, mouth agape watching us. And lets not forget the tank farm for the national oil reserve....that's some fun landing area over there. This is the view over my DZ now.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

They don't really have pics of dropzone, but they do have photos of the airports, runways, etc. If nothing else, it helps me to get oriented to the DZ to understand the general layout - especially if going to be flying in - "The helicopter approaches closer than any other to fulfillment of mankind's ancient dreams of a magic carpet" - Igor Sikorsky

PabloCruz2 0 #23 July 16, 2004 Unfortuneately, I don't have any good software. I had to use Paintbrush. I'm not used to writing with a mouse. As I recall their is about 350 acres out at OSC. It's kind of hard to miss, but I do remember hearing of some stories of "off" landings. Paul
PabloCruz2 0 #24 July 16, 2004 Hey Tony, As soon as I possibly can. I want to this summer, but I don't know if that is going to happen. Gas prices have a little to do with it. I'm currently 5.5 hours from OSC. Tell everybody there I said "HI".
