It'll be very satisfying to watch all the scum get what they deserve. That includes Spencer, the TSA CTU chief's aide, and of course, the President. Any others I'm leaving out?

Kim's boyfriend.

Blues,
Dave

I can't figure out what the point of bringing her and her BF back for 2 episodes and then they disappear again. Perhaps there will be some key event her BF will play a part in.

Is it my imagination or is Audrey starting to get excited about hanging out with Jack? Wonder what it will do to her mind if she's forced to kill someone to save Jack or her father. I got a feeling she's going to find pleasure in some pent up release of emotions. Of course, this could be how Kim's BF comes in. :S

Do commercial airplanes really have a hatch that leads straight to the cargo hold?

I also found it hard to believe that an airliner would have conventional drum-and-cable controls instead of hydraulics.

I thought the same thing, but I no longer let reality ruin my television enjoyment. After filming the freefall portion of a recent Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I discovered even reality TV is far from reality. ;)

TV, reality or otherwise, is about spectacle and the ILLUSION of reality.

Oh, and I saw the dilemma about shooting down the plane LAST week. *heavy sigh*

I will enjoy when that guy from ER gets his. :)

Maybe another helicopter will fall on him!:P

Next week though- talk about a stretch! How on earth does ANY president justify shooting a plane full of diplomats and civilians out of the sky! Puuuhhhleeeeeze! Just when I thought the season was starting to turn itself around!

they're really reaching on that one. the real world repurcussions are just too great. There are too many people questioning and not getting answers.
The cat aint out of the bag yet, but hes kicking and screaming and everyone is wonderin what the fuck is in there.

I think they did a pretty good job of drawing this one out. it was a little anti-climactic though. with the trend the writers have been using. how could one not see that ending and trailer coming? :|

That's it exactly. Too many people know something is up, too many higher ups are asking questions, and at this point, he doesn't know Secretary Heller is dead, does he? (Yet another higher up who knows.....) Just the fact that "Chopper Man" was able to intercept a call from Cloe to CTU about the recording means someone at CTU is on to him as well. Hellooooo??????

MD-80's have a hatch in the cockpit that leads into the avionics bay. From there you can get to the cargo hold. Most other aircraft have similar sorts of access. Also, many aircraft have floor blowout panels made of thin aluminum. They are intended to rupture if a cargo door blows out, thus preventing collapse of the cabin floor. They're fairly easy to damage, and thus I assume they're relatively easy to get through.

707's did, but most modern aircraft don't.

do we even know that? Truth be told, I am skeptical about that and am wondering what role Heller will play in wrapping this whole thing up.

Speaking of.....did Audrey bleed to death or what? We didn't even get a glimpse of her yesterday!

I cracked up in laughter when I saw that. I thought: "Hey, I've done that in a Cessna 182!"

Now we'll see if the pilot, who has gone over to Jack's side after his initial skepticism, will save them all from a missile shootdown. My prediction: he'll turn out to be a Vietnam vet fighter jock, quite used to dodging SAM missiles.

What does the President's wife want with those extra pills? Is she really contemplating suicide, or is she up to something else? Like spiking her husband's drink to knock his sorry ass out?

I loved it when Chloe finally invited the bothersome bar guy to sit down next to her, and then zapped him with a stun gun. Ha!

Great Cloe and Buchanan moments last night! The stun gun was priceless, especially when she did it a second time!:D

WTF was Novick thinking when he brought Jean Smart an entire week's worth of pills? By showing her drinking and slurring, plus the argument with Logan, they've already set the stage for an OD, and *maybe* the strain of that, plus the guilt might be enough to finally push Logan over the edge. Lameass plot device if you ask me! I could see Mike bringing her 1 pill to "get her through the night", but an entire week's supply? LAME!

I say there are 50 parachutes in the cargo bay and Jack has to teach the passengers to skydive.

Either that, or there's 1 parachute, and he has to take everybody on a super tandemx50. Sort of like that Adidas commercial where the guy holds a whole crowd on his shoulders.

It looked like in the preview for next week that Jack had a rig on and we know he jumped from the cesna a couple of years ago when he had to leave the plane with the bomb in it.

She does have enough pills to OD on. Logan gave Novick the OK to bring them to her against doctor's orders, and he made it clear he brought her a week's supply. I think its Logan's passive aggressive way of getting rid of her. He can't strangle her with his bare hands, but he can drive her to suicide. When she does OD, at first he'll blame Novick, but the guilt will eventually get to him. Sort of a modern day MacBeth, no?

Good episode the writers have partially redeemed themselves. Some of you were right about Heller surviving. I'm guessing he is going to play a part in bringing down Logan and the other co-conspirators. Question is, is Logan and Co. true patriots or is another layer on conspiracy about to be added as the season winds down?

I'll be glued to the TV next week. B|

Yeah, I guessed that one correctly. Ha!

Will the President really shoot himself? I was afraid there for a moment that he was going to take his wife with him. And when he checked the magazine of the .45 for bullets, he didn't check the chamber. Doh!

I'm sure aircraft really have a radio signal code to indicate a hijacking. But is it really called a "VCI" code? (I think that's the term they were using.)

Good job getting the aircraft down on the freeway. Boy were they lucky there were no overhead power lines and no freeway light poles. Huh?

Just as everything is going Jack's way, that snake CTU aide goes and erases the audio tape proving the Presidential conspiracy. Now what they heck are they gonna do?

Oh, and when they showed the President, he always had light flashing across his face. It was the kind of light like you see from a swimming pole with the rippling water throwing a pattern of light outside the pool. What the hell was with that lighting?

Audrey looks good in that lacy bra!

The question I really have is where do they get their cell phones. I can't get mine to go more than an hour or so of talk time without the battery dying. These people are on their phones constantly for 24 hours straight!

I know, I know, of all of the stupid holes in the show, this is the one I pick to gripe about ;)

They got a Family Deal with the agents from X-Files. Remember Mulder and Scully getting calls when they were running around in sewers, and coal mines and sh*t? And that was pre-digital!
