Perverting the course of justice, whilst being an offence in itself will act as an aggravating factor to the original offence and be considered when sentancing occurs. Denying bail is for folk that are a flight risk or are deemed likely to offend again if left in the community, not to punish people before they're convicted. As for leniency in sentencing, I somehow doubt it. She's not exactly going to get sympathy from the judge for fleeing the scene and for attempting to pervert the course of justice.
