<<< Memorial Day >>> (In memory of your fallen)

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to start a thread for skydivers to post their Memorial Day tributes to fallen family or friends who died while in service. This thread is also for anyone who would like to just post comments in general for our fallen sailors and soldiers.

I will start with Lance Corporal Joshua Watkins of Jacksonville, Fl who died in Iraq on Oct. 21st 2006. We will never forget what you and your unit did and sacrificed. Thank you to all of our KIA, MIA, and POW's for what you have done.

Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

I would also like to thank my fellow brothers and sisters at arms right now. I know what life is like for them as it was for me at one point.

I knew Michael Lawson. I was in HSL-60 in Mayport when I met him. RIP

America's Answer
In Flanders Field
by R. W. Lilliard

Rest ye in peace, ye Flanders dead.
The fight that ye so bravely led
We've taken up. And we will keep
True faith with you who lie asleep
With each a cross to mark his bed,
In Flanders fields.

Fear not that ye have died for naught.
The torch ye threw to us we caught.
Ten million hands will hold it high,
And Freedom's light shall never die!
We've learned the lesson that ye taught
In Flanders fields.
Mike
I love you, Shannon and Jim.

Spc Brian Baker 10th Mtn DV- Iraq

My old bud in the barracks at Schofield and my AG. Rest well my friend. I know you and the big man are kicking back with a cold one right now. See you when I get there.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
