its a very common pizza, and around here, its called a pizza hawaii! not that i would give much for it, but a toast hawaii, that consists of ham, cheese and a slice of pineable on toast, is quite nice.

but coming from the country that has invented the mint sauce and other things, well, i might understand your concerns..

I've had the Hawaiian pizza from Papa John's before, and I can stomach it. However, when I ordered the Hawaiian from Domino's, I got it with BBQ sauce. What the FUCK....

I thought pineapple on pizza was nasty too, until I tried it.

It falls in the same category as explaining skydiving to whuffos and explaining sex to virgins, you wont understand it until you try it.
