RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 August 13, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdz_G1VGJ4c&feature=related I went for a hike this afternoon at Red Rocks which has great trails and "some" people do the amphetheatre seating as an outdoor "stairsstepper"... I was curious as to why the crowd was so large at 5 pm and the parking lot attendants told me that there was a Jethro Tull concert in two hours. I feel bad to say that I thought they were washed up or dead and was surprised to know that they were still "on tour". _________________________________________

jimmytavino 16 #13 August 13, 2008 old.....but still timely... it was the late 60's early 70's and one of my brothers went out and bought an LP record Album.....Aqualung... we had a deal then, that since all the kids would usually listen to any album which ONE of us had purchased,,, that we would all pitch in to cover the purchase price.... Well, i'm thinking,, " Aqualung"???? Jethro Tull?? what the heck is THAT????, but went ahead, and kicked in MY dollar..... The only Jethro ... I Knew about, was Jethro Bodine , son of Pearl Bodine, and grandson of Jed Clampett..!!!!well we started listening to that record.... and it was just great.... so great in fact, that when i went to college a couple of years later,, i'm pretty sure that i STOLE that album, from my brother, to take with me.... hahaha STILL have it too.... wow 40 years ago , almost... Thanks Rky, for the great YouTube link....(as well as, for your lovely avatar)there is something great, about SEEING these songs performed, as well as Hearing them... Saw them perform a couple of times... Very good show... jmy
marcandalysse 0 #14 August 13, 2008 A bunch of my friends went to see Tull at RedRocks back in 1971 or so! There was a riot....people trying to get in for free created such a confusion that the cops broke it up with teargas! Those were the days when rock got radicalized.... dropdeded 0 #17 August 13, 2008 Gonna do my best to see Tull when they're in the area. Been doin a lot of the "old guys" shows lately. Saw Robin Trower a couple months back, then Steely Dan, Steve Miller and Joe Cocker last week. Was really impressed with Steve Miller Band. Joe Cocker is still amazing but Steely Dan would have been much better in a smaller venue (imho).------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -
