lawrocket 3 #1 September 24, 2008 After a 5 years absence, I am resuming my yearly trip to Vegas to watch my beloved Kings play hockey at the MGM Grand this weekend. What's to do in Vegas nowadays? Where are the cool bars (I'm SOOOOOOOOO not into the club scene)? I'm looking for a place to grab a drink and have good conversation. And if there's anybody to whom I owe a beer, I'll be in Vegas on Friday and Saturday. My wife is hotter than your wife.
jtval 0 #2 September 24, 2008 Go see "KA" at the MGM. I don't know the bar scene Bars are everywhere. go to red rock. go to valley of fire. go to Mesquite. The strip never appealed to me. (maybe because I lived there instead of visited)My photos My Videos

I went to the comedy club at Tropicana regularly for entertainment. 22 bucks w/ one free drink. The late show is best. 10:30 PM everynite $1.49 breakfast (24/7) at the Wild Wild West casino a couple blocks away on the other side of the 15. Lots of const. still. Traffic sucks. read THIS> http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080923/lf_nm_life/us_lasvegas_casinos_2 Have fun. I need more people going there so the work picks back up. Nightingale 0 #7 September 24, 2008 I don't know about bars, but if you have time, go see Penn and Teller at the Rio. They're wonderful!!!!
LuckyMcSwervy 0 #8 September 24, 2008 Keep an eye out for the $2500 I lost over Easter weekend at NYNY and the Monte Carlo. If you find it, let me know, OK?? Always be kinder than you feel.
Shotgun 1 #9 September 24, 2008 Go ride the new rides on top of the Stratosphere. I haven't been there since they built the new ones, but they look like fun.
Skootz 0 #10 September 24, 2008 A great bar is Crown and Anchor...wonderful English pub. Its pretty close to the strip, their address is 1350 E Tropicana.
Thanatos340 1 #11 September 24, 2008 I was in Vegas all Last week. I could not agree more about the Penn & Teller Show at the Rio. Best Bang for the Buck in Vegas in my opinion. Great Show and not as overly priced as some of the others. Try Half-Price Tickets/Tix4Tonight if you want to see a show. Find one of their location sand get there right before 10:00am when they post what tickets they have for that night. Also one more piece of advise.. Stay away from the Craps Tables. While it is mathematically improbable that someone can make close to 100 attempts to get a run going on various craps tables over a 4 day period and never hit a single point.. I did prove that it was possible on my trip.

lawrocket 3 #16 September 28, 2008 Quote Yay! Hockey! I hope the Kings lose. The Kings lost in overtime. But, just like I remembered, a truly amazing game. This is always the best game! I truly enjoyed myself. However, it is always an interesting thing going from hockey game in Vegas to mowing the lawn in Fresno in 12 hours. My wife is hotter than your wife.
