TrophyHusband 0 #5 December 7, 2008 i don't know what my best dish is, i guess it depends on who you ask. the most requested dishes are grilled tuna, tuna tetrazini, clam fritters (with razor clams, other clams suck), and halibut fish and chips. i strong runner-up would be ungulate backstrap (deer, elk, or moose) dipped in egg and milk, rolled in flour, and fried with gravy made from what's left over. i rare treat is also balsamic vinegar roasted elk loin. oh, and bleu cheese burgers. ChileRelleno 0 #14 December 8, 2008 I make a herb crusted, garlic studded pork roast that gets rave reviews. But my very best is my chicken enchiladas in a fresh chile verde sauce, and my arroze/frijoles. Must have fresh/ripe tomatillos and crema fresca for the sauce. FlyingJ 0 #24 January 3, 2009 I am far from being a chef. In fact, I'm a pretty bad cool in general, but there is one dish I make that I love. Mom called them Burger Bundles. Flatten out a small handful of ground meat, about 1/4" thick or so. Place a blob of stuffing in the middle and wrap the meat up around it into a ball. Cover the "bundles" in Golden Mushroom soup and cook at 350 for an hour. Serve over egg noodles. It's a heavy meal, but OH so delicious, especially on a cold day (for those of you living in a place that has cold days ). Haven't tried making it with ground deer yet, but will have to try it soon. Killing threads since 2004.
