A question about snakes

Recommended Posts

Another fact about snakes -- generally, the lower the elevation, the less dangerous.

Example......

snakes at ground level = the majority are non-toxic.

snakes on a plane = all are highly venomous.

Oh shit. Now i have to look all over the 182 before takeoff.
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.

What if the plane is taxxiing - say, for example, at the bottom of Death Valley?

At what altitude does a snake go from benign ti malignant?

This site sure has changed. Back in the day, a guy could post weak attempts at humor and not get called on it.:P

Well, you may notice in the photo, I'm smiling for the camera, but my eyes are off to the side keeping a close eye on that snake. Besides, he was just a harmless water snake. I think.

I find it rather interesting, we don't have dangerous snakes in the U.K but a lot of people have a very strong fear of them. Could it be a very deep, in-built memory from our ancestors? Almost an instinct, perhaps.
