What's the current high and low temperatures there?

I'm reasonably certain you have much less to worry about than the snake.

Below 70 for an extended period of time is probably enough to kill it due to stress eventually. It would really prefer 80-85ish. Outside in Anchorage right now I see very little danger of a sneak snake attack. ;)

Beautiful snake. I'm guessing an albino Burmese python. I love snakes. I had a 6 ft. Plus one living in my basement for several years. Saw him several times. And I would find his skins no problem with mice when he was my roomie😆

i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. Naw I wasn't low I'm just such a big guy I look closer than I really am .

I would say it is likely dead.

Temps are too cold for it to survive at night.

I would say it is likely dead.

Temps are too cold for it to survive at night.

Might not be dead yet if it didn't stray far from home and could snuggle up to a wall or something but yeah, absolutely dead from exposure (as opposed to old age) eventually. Snakes have an innate ability to sense temperature at a distance, so the cold may have acted as a sort of invisible fence. Depending on how far it got and how well the home was insulated it -may- still be alive. I just don't think the neighbors have much to worry about.

While we're talking about snakes... I fished this little baby copper head out of the neighbor's pool next to where I work. It had been floating on top of the water enjoying a sun bath. Used a hoe to gently lower in the water and position it directly under the snake, then slowly lifted it right out of the water. And it didn't move much at all.

But man, they need to clean out the damn pool. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I also noticed a snapping turtle with a shell about a foot in diameter on the bottom step in the pool that fled into the deep end when I got close.
