  1. I dont know if any of you listen to these two jerkoffs on the radio because I dont and I never will but some of my fellow co-workers told me they had a good laugh at the death of Gus down in Deland.
  2. i tip anyone who packs for me. if i have a cut away i really wont mind because one could pack a perfect canopy and still have a mal.
  3. I went to the Gold Coast web site and saw that they are taking donations via Paypal to help fight some legal battles. I made my first jump at that dropzone, I would hate to see anything happen to it.
  4. I live in South Georgia but I jump in Florida as much as possible. Jacksonville, Palatka and Deland.
  5. I drove a short two hours to Deland with my girlfriend because the weather was going to be bad in my location all weekend. The winds were high on the day I arrived so I sat it out checking the place over to get a feel of the people and the vibe. My girlfriend and I chilled in the Perfect Spot drinking a few cold ones and had a great time just talking to who ever came along. The next day I showed up ready to go and the staff were nothing short of excellent. I was able to get a packer squared away before my jump and I was able to go up any time I wanted because they had two Otters going all day long. My girlfriend didnt even jump and she had a great time soaking up the sun, reading her book and watching the steady flow of parachutes dancing in the air all day long. Needless to say Im going to be back again and again and again..........
  6. Im in the Navy but I dont go on ships. I love to explain that one.
  7. After living in Israel for three years. The politics of that region are extremely confusing. It goes far beyond the wall. The sad thing is most people around the world base thier opinions off of what they see in the news and after living through a few horrible events in real life and then seeing the way the media reports it I can tell all of you that your only seeing about 10 percent fact. I to this day have mixed feelings about the wall and I lived through it. How can someone living in a plush downtown New York condo like a delegate in the UN who has never even been to the region have an objectional opinion on the issue, and then vote for or against it.
  8. Screw the UN. They couldn't pour piss out of boot if the directions were writen on the heel. Thats only if they could pass the resolution to try it.
  9. Try not to tell anybody what you do for fun. I myself try to keep it under wraps. In my line of work(Naval Construction Force) most of the guys or gals spend they're weekends chasings around various types of balls or trying to out smart an underwater animal with the IQ of a rock. They just end up asking very stupid questions like "can you have sex while skydiving"?
  10. I dont see many jumpers dying from gear failures. Low turns with perfect gear however.....well you know.
  11. I love mine when I'm flying it, but packing is a whole new story. A brand new ZP is a little tough to put into the bag but its starting to get easier with time. Dont roll the nose when packing. I did it a few times and I ended up with closed end cells. Other than that is gonna be an angle on your shoulder.....enjoy
  12. My DZ's jump tickets went up to 20 bucks as well, but considering I was paying 35 overseas I dont think its all that bad. I'm making up for it by doing my own packing.
  13. Some people will do anything to impress others. Even it means killing themselves.
  14. Try using the same multi color canopy if at all possible. Then your going to be able to separate those lines with out even thinking about it. Are you hanging the canopy over your shoulder or from a hook. I used a hook because it makes it a whole lot easier(at least it did for me).

    Paradive

I've been jumping at this DZ for almost three years while stationed in Israel, and I have nothing but possitive things to say. The staff is very good at what they do, and safety is numero uno. The landing area is a bit small compared to the state side DZ's I've jumped at but that only helps me become a better canopy pilot. The view is amazing with the Med on one side and the Holy Land on the other. During my time here I've brought several tandem students with me and they loved every minute of their experience and the videos they produce for the tandems are exellent. If your coming to Israel for business or pleasure bring your gear jump the the Holy Land.
  16. It warms my heart to see all the fan fair and love being shown for the DZ were it all began for me. The Mardi Gras boggie in 2000. I cant wait to get back to the States and jump there again.
