Usually the more variables you have to deal with, and the tougher the set up, the better the outcome when you get it right. Only problem is, sometimes ONE variable you don't get right, the whole shot is blown. either play it safe with wide-angle, some automatic functions, and get an "OK" shot, or just go big, and take something spectacular. this sounds like a dumb question, but are you getting vignetting on the TV screen, or just your camera screen? MOST 4:3 TV's don't show the whole video. My cameras record a tiny bit of the lens on some lenses, but it basically never shows up on any TV. If you're having that problem, then yes, your filter is bad, or the lens just isn't compatible with the camera..... My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

at 750 jumps, i borrowed a guys helmet. I shot HIM on the jump with his helmet. I had about 1200 when I bought my own set up. i now have close to 11,000 camera jumps. My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

BACKUP! Yes. My digital photos are on 4 different hard drives, located in 2 different places. 2 drives at the office at the DZ, 2 drives at the house. One is in a fireproof safe. Storage is cheap. re-shooting thousands of images is not. You do the math......... My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

A book, funny enough, I looked into doing that a couple of years ago. The best deal I could find was to self publish and it was going to cost about $15,000 for the first 100 books. Full color think paper is the only way to go and isn't cheap!! I'd love to do a book, but noone is interested in publishing it as skydiving is only reallly interesting to US (unless is spinning students or near bounces on television) Tony My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.
