Well, yesterday I had a PC in tow, then a baglock, and eventually line twist that I cut away from. I was looking over my shoulder at what I just said, and can tell you I never rolled over, but the fact that anyone does, it completely understandable. Not something you want to do obviously, but understandable how it happens. You roll just a little bit too far, and get some air on the wrong side of you, and over you go. When you're not used to how something deploys, and you look to try to identify the problem. My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

4 copies on 4 drives, 2 locations. nothing on disks. while its true that if ONE drive goes down, it lost. but thats why i have it on others. Actually, not EVERYTHING is on all 4 drives. On one of the drives at home i have basically the best couple of shots from each dive. If i shot 10 photos, and only 1 or 2 are the BEST, I keep those. As far as logging, I go by date. A photo I shot yesterday is numbered " 091808-01 " The only problem I can't pull up "clouds" "sunset" etc like with what I'm sure lightroom would do. If I got that program I'd have to go through 70 Gb of photos and who knows how many thousands and log them. I just don't have a year to do that! My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

I keep my digitals on 2 drives in my mac in ONE place, and 2 western digital external drives at HOME. Everything is on 4 drives. (except the last few jumps I've done as sometimes I get lazy and take a bit to transfer from DZ to home) Anything else I could do better? yeah, i only mentioned going up in iso to show the pattern of cangnig just the one variable at at time to show what it does. i only use 80 iso, and manual. there are RARE times when i need to change iso, and when an automatic setting comes into play. (longer lens with autofocus for one) My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

well, if you start goin up in iso, you'll be able to get a greater depth of field. maybe this is why 3 of 5 were good instead of 1 of 5. go to 800 iso and i bet a dollar they are ALL in focus. then that will determine if that is your problem. then you can adjust from there. (or just QUIT using auto focus with a wide angle lens!!!!!!!) My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

both issues you mentioned sounds like its focusing, then shooting the image. the problen CAN be from the time it focuses until the time it shoots, the subject is in a different spot. You can't get shots like these without a flash. MY last cut-away was 6000 jumps ago. Pip Redvers has 17,500 sport rig jumps, with ZERO cutaways. (1 total) he has another 1,500 tandem jumps with a couple of cut aways on tandem. My cut aways were about 66 jumps, 1600 jumps, and 6500 jumps. My O.C.D. has me chasing a dream my A.D.D. won't let me catch.

Well, freefall time, from the beginning. canopy time, jumps X 2.5 minutes per jump. (average, of course, no way of actually knowing) 4 seconds to open a parachute X jump numbers 20 min. in a plane per jump average X jumps I've never had a spectre malfunction out of 8400 spectre jumps. (knocking on wood....)

Well, my trip to Las Vegas to work on playing drums for a living didn't quite work out. I spent a few months there, but never got a job playing. So, I've been back in Z-Hills the last few months skydiving again. At least I had a nice long vacation! Thanks to all who wrote kind words when I left.
